Has anyone ever checked out this Musideum place in Toronto? I recently stumbled across it on the internets and am dying to go and see. I had never heard of it before until it was listed as a venue for an upcoming The Henrys show.

When you walk into Musideum, you are invited to experience how harmony can arrange the world.

We are offering a space for instrument makers, musicians, and listeners, to meet and trade. As well as an extensive collection of traditional intercontinental musical instruments for sale, find rare music books, John Cage scores, recordings, and musical gifts.

Learn to play an instrument you have been looking for forever. Discover Erhu, GuZheng, Sitar and Harmonium, Galician Pipes, Nightingale calls, Cigar Box Guitars, and

Theremin, Cracklebox, Cajon, Cavaquinho, Fado, Ney, Daf, Riqq, Xaphoon, Stroh Violin, 4thC Qin, 18thC Glass Armonica, 19thC Banjo, mbira, the potent Sansula, and more.

We are holding a space for the stunning appreciation of creative music. In our performance series 'Terrain,' we encourage exploration into all musics; folkloric, contemporary composition and media art, songs from each distinct culture, including our own young urban songwriters. Listen to music that integrates cultural aberrations, discovery, silence, cinematic art, and improvisation in all

the mothertongues.

At Musideum, rare musical instruments and eccentricities on view… an opportunity to touch, play and listen too.

The Henrys are playing there tonight. Apparently the venue seats 25.

They don't seem to update their site (or FB site) much.

Thought I'd give this a bump as Musideum has really stepped up its activity in the past 6 months. It's a really amazing spot to catch a show or just to visit, pick up and play the million and one exotic instruments (which is encouraged!) A friend of mine now works there. They also have a full recording studio in the basement.
