Hal Johnson
What program do you use and where do your get your images? I've been using publisher and Clip Art just isn't doing it for me. Is it cool to just use google images? Any suggestions?
bouche
I use photoshop and try and build unique images with vector art and fonts. Unless you're making an image to use in ads for magazines, etc, I wouldn't think twice about using something from the internet if it's high quality. You make a poster, put them up and then they come down.
Hal Johnson
A lot of, if not all of the flyers I make go into news ads and what-not, so I don't feel comfortable using images from the web. But you recommend Photoshop, huh? I don't have any experience with it. Does it come with templates? Do you know if "vector art" differs much from what's offered in publisher? Davey Boy 2.0
I don't think photoshop itself offers that sort of template but a quick internet search makes me think that they're out there, and photoshop has great flexibility
bouche
I'm not sure what publisher does. Photoshop is both a pixel editor and handles vectors as well. While there aren't templates like you'd find in publisher, you can get .psd sourcefiles in online tutorials and modify things as you like.

Northern Wish
www.istockphoto.com is good for stock images that won't break the bank.
