Blane
Hi all, Every year you guys help me find bands I've never heard of but come to love at this festival. AD
Eels!! Not sure how they translate to a festival but always a solid bet. Tell Doug Paisley to play shows in his home province for a change. (Good work on what you've already starred and on avoiding some overhyped bands like Savages, Palma Violets and some others) Edited August 27, 2013 by Guest
Big Wooly Mammoth
Dinosaur Jr - 1980's punk/alternative band. i would add them to my list.AD: you think Savages are over-hyped? I've been very impressed with what I've heard. remind me a bit of Joy Division. post-punk sound. they played a tiny club in Paris for €20. i already had a €75 ticket for neil young that night. otherwise, I would have rather seen Savages in a small club than Neil in a large arena. Neil was good, but i've seen him a bunch of times.
DevO
Tiger Cats based solely on the name!
fluffhead77
DINOSAUR JRDAUGHTERHEARTLESS BASTARDSDJ are killing it live these days. The new album is as good as anything they put out in the 90s and their grey appearances haven't diminished their sound in the slightest. You really should see them. Daughter is a slower, folky act, but the lead singer has a gorgeous, powerful voice. Heartless Bastards are just fantastic 3 and 4 chord rock, with a female singer/guitarist that delivers awesomeness from opening note to closing crescendo. Do not miss these cats. If you can only see one of the three I mentioned, see Heartless Bastards.
Blane
yeah, the Dino Jr option is frustrating. On at the same time as Belle and Sebastian, whom I also like. Will have to test my mood before the sets start and decide. Thanks for the other suggestions, will check some out!
