NewRider Posted February 5, 2014 Report Posted February 5, 2014 (edited) C'mon out to The Hive (200 King. St. E. Kitchener) on Friday Feb. 21st Pretty sure these guys haven't played Kitchener before so if you're in the area come check them out. Toadhouse Edited February 6, 2014 by Guest
boiler Posted February 6, 2014 Report Posted February 6, 2014 (edited) Don't lick the toads. The date of this show is Feb 21 btw.I agree with New Rider, don't miss out on your chance to get on the Toadhouse bandwagon, featuring jambands.ca's own Prost shredding the guitar. They are not only a really great bunch of guys but hugely talented. Nothing better than a trio of good players. They do some great original tunes and usually have a few beauty's by that band Phish. Edited February 6, 2014 by Guest
NewRider Posted February 7, 2014 Author Report Posted February 7, 2014 HEY CHECK IT OUT...Dan Auld made a cool poster!
NewRider Posted February 8, 2014 Author Report Posted February 8, 2014 No knapsacks? Count me out.I have NO idea why the bar owner insisted on me putting that on the poster. I guess they've had issues with knapsacks in the past?! Still WTF?!?!
TheSloth Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 Can I wear a knapsack on stage??? lol At the very least you should bust one of these out.
mark tonin Posted February 14, 2014 Report Posted February 14, 2014 Toadhouse has a good thing going and I am curious about the venue. Hope to check it out.
boiler Posted February 15, 2014 Report Posted February 15, 2014 I dare somebody to lick one of the toads
NewRider Posted February 15, 2014 Author Report Posted February 15, 2014 The venue is under new management. I guess it used to have a bad rap. I met with the owner today and asked about the "no knapsack" rule having to be on every poster and he wouldn't budge! Apparently too many people have brought in their own booze. I tried to assure him this was a mature enough crowd but who am I kidding... I booked the show, I'm bringing a knapsack! I really hope a lot of ya'll in the area can make it out. The whole night belongs to Toadhouse and I'm sure it's going to be a great night.
edger Posted February 15, 2014 Report Posted February 15, 2014 I'm out of town at that time but definitely intrigued about a new or unfamiliar to me live music venue in the city. They certainly hired the right man to clean up their reputation I jest. Hope it goes well, that it is a good space and that you're able to continue to bring in some good bands
NewRider Posted February 19, 2014 Author Report Posted February 19, 2014 Really hope some of you can make it out.I've never had the pleasure of seeing Toadhouse before so I'm excited.
Prost Posted February 19, 2014 Report Posted February 19, 2014 I'm getting excited for this one too! I love shows when we get to play all night. It really allows us to find our groove. It's gonna be a fun night!

NewRider Posted February 20, 2014 Author Report Posted February 20, 2014 What are you ding for lighting? just an enlargement of that avatar you are using should do the trick.pfftt.. I wish. I dunno, they have some LED lights up there somewhere. I have to learn the soundboard tomorrow so if it sounds like shit at the show... my bad! lol I'll have someone with me.
