edger
I'd be interested to hear their new material. Already have tickets for panic the next night though...not sure I can swing both
Northern Wish
The song in heavy rotation on Sirius is fucking atrocious. I can't remember the last time a band made such an about face from their debut album's sound. Roller? Booche?

Northern Wish
Sounds like Coldplay to me (who I very much dislike): www.youtube.com/watch?v=dW6SkvErFEE

Guest Low Roller
I have not heard any of the new stuff. I would be tempted to go see them in NOTL but feels a bit steep. The Maccabees, who are opening, are a great britrock band.
Jaimoe
The song in heavy rotation on Sirius is fucking atrocious. I can't remember the last time a band made such an about face from their debut album's sound. Roller? Booche? Kings Of Leon come to mind, although it took them an album, or two, for the hate to really pile on.
Guest Low Roller
Kings of Leon for sure. Stereophonics comes to mind as well. How about Band of Horses? Their sound changed as well.

Disagree with Stereophonics, but BOH is pretty much true, for now. There's tons of bands that couldn't follow up a big debut or breakthrough album with something equally important. Most can't. I find the best artists are slow to hit their prime. Certainly Wilco falls into this category. The Dead, Who, Allmans, Stones, White Stripes, etc. do too. Guest Low Roller
We can, of course, discuss Radiohead's drastic evolution from Pablo Honey to Kid A and beyond.
