hamilton
Just saw this go by on CNN Headline News: Sting, Dave Matthews, Vince Gill and Pharrell Williams set to perform Fab Four tribute at Grammys. How hard is that gonna suck? I thought that Dave Matthews would have had more sense than that. Maybe he's drunk again...
Jaimoe
Then again, the Joe Strummer tribute at last year's Grammy's was perfect. That surprising line-up included Elvis Costello, The Boss, Miami Steve and the rhythm section for No Doubt ( a band that I despise as much as Kraftwek and Depeche Mode ). My friend is an ex-punk drummer that worships Strummer and the tribute made him cry, and he hates everyone I've mentioned except Costello. We'll have to wait and see about this year's tribute performance. Once thing is for sure: Vince Gill is a monster on guitar when he chooses to " play ". Let's hope he does. Booche
Vince Gill is a monster on guitar when he chooses to " play ". Yeah, not to mention his singing........... Harmonies could be good (which they would need to be, obviously), but I question Dave Matthews. His voice gets to me. I would have taken Phil instead of him
bouche
Is Dave Matthews going to be George? He'd better not be. Throw him on the kit and we'll call him Ringo. Sting and Vince are in the running for Faul though, on account-a their vocal ranges.
