badams
The fact that Ottawa has been so quiet about Hasek led me to believe this quite a while ago. Guess we will just have to wait and see.
Hal Johnson
Ya, I suspected the same. I really feel bad for them though. Seriously. This was their year. Not to take anything away from emery, but feck, we all know what can happen in the playdowns.

badams
The Sens are right where the Habs want them. Hasek or no Hasek
rubberdinghy
Muckler made a big mistake if Hasek doesn't make the playoffs.......you all know how I felt about the deadline no deal...
Booche
Who were they going to deal for there Mr Brainiac?
rubberdinghy
I'm sure they coulda struck a deal with Florida...everyone's got a price...and now seeing that we can still play decent hockey without the big 3...I woulda been happy picking up abisher (sp) too.but hey...hopefully Muckler, Emery, and Hasek will all prove me wrong. Booche
I'm sure they coulda struck a deal with Florida...everyone's got a price...AND, to beat a dead horse, the price was TOO high for Ottawa to make a deal. Think about it Dinghy. Think
rubberdinghy
I'm always thinking...like I said, i'd have taken Aebisher, or even Roloson, at the deadline...Florida could have built thier new team around Redden and say Emery, and a draft choice for Luongo...Like you've told me previous...there's no way Ottawa can afford Chara and Redden next year... ollie
like I said, i'd have taken Aebisher, or even Roloson, at the deadline...Hey rd, I normally have your back as a Sens fan but I can't believe you'd rather have these two over Emery. rubberdinghy
This is what I was thinking at the deadline...when Emery was playing like shite...Ollie...you can't tell me your not worried about Hasek, and Emery taking us all the way....remember Rhodes, Lalime...these guys were supposed to be our saviours.... ollie
Oh, I am worried about Emery being able to take us all the way but I think he has a better chance of doing it than Aebischer or Roloson. As all the pundits are pointing out, Brodeur is the only goalie in the East with a proven playoff track record. Emery isn't my first choice to lead the charge but he looks good next to the competition.I don't think Hasek will play another game for the Senators. rubberdinghy
Well...I guess we'll just have to wait and see Oliver... Oh yes...Barrasso........... GO SENS GO! I'm going to game 5!!! WOOOOO-HOOOOOOOOOO
Jaimoe
Ottawa will win with a pretty good goalie in Emery. They have to start scoring goals and it is almost inconceivable that this team won't light it up in the playoffs and outscore every team they play. They should have blown Washington out of Kanata the other night too.
Hartamophone
No Hasek in the playoffs would make me very nervous, especially given that a lack of proven playoff goaltending was a key factor in the Sens not bringing it all home in either of years immediately before the lockout.
