Dick's Picks 29 Makes Me Weep

Recommended Posts

I just about cried on Halloween (after everyone had gone to bed and i had dipped into the bowl of green and bowls of candy) watching the killer DVD of the 10/31/80 show from Radio City. The acoustic set, while Phil is having bass probs, is incredible. Jerry makes multiple trips to space and back on his acoustic. Gotta get down to watching the other 3 DVDs that make up that show now.

WHAT'S THE SHOW CRYBABY????

Oops, sorry, here ya go:

sc00602401.jpg

It makes me weep as well because I end up realizing I am not listening to Dicks Picks 36.

Bummer; I don't have that one. Where's Oink when I need it?

47 songs, and you like every single thing on it?

that's unlimited devotion.

Didn't say that. What I've heard is just amazing. I'm not through listening to all 6 discs yet though.

Dicks with a different name and a different modus operandi. Fuck all those that have been complaining about the lack of products since the change. I only hope Rhino somehow bring out available weekly downloads again via the Tapers Section but what can I do about that aside from whine?

I love you Hamilton.

That set kinda runs the gambit a little, but if i remember correctly (seriously, if it's the disc I'm thinking of) it is one of the best "loser"'s ever! If I had to put a pin on it, my fav GD tune....Good call \/\/illy!

Wills, don't you find you're constantly skipping every other tune?

I do... ;)

Well, it certainly is difficult to not just skip all of Bobby's blunders but I find the continuity of the show is lost if I do. How Jerry and Phil could tolerate playing with that guy is completely amazing. ;)

being fairly liberal minded could handle leaving "Estimated", "Playing", "Jack Straw" in the rotation while skipping every other second song ;)

is nice though that the last 2 disc are almost all Jerry tracks
