I know Basher is a member so maybe you can answer the question. How convenient is having the friends first membership with Massey Hall? Living in Gatineau, I figure that even making it to TO for 2 or 3 shows at massey with nice tickets would be worth the 100 bucks. Are you pretty much guaranteed to get tix, and also pretty damn good tix with the membership? Like for example....would we have been able to get Flight of the Conchord tickets without any problem?

yeah, the Bass Laser called at about 5:30 saying that a show in Ottawa that night....in like 4 hours from the phone call. I posted it here, and called around to see who'd join us on at the last minute musical bender. I think there were a dozen people there. Every single person had a blast though. Been hooked ever since.

Since I got a new phono player, I've been enjoying reliving my albums. I need to go to a record store now! Do they still have those? Have you ever heard of Sleeve Facing? You take a record sleeve and position it over a face or anyway that you see fit and take a photo with the proper perspective to give the illusion that the sleeve and your background are all part of the same image. I just did a simple test with Frampton Comes Alive! and it might end up being alot of fun!

This is how I understand the rules for quebec. For a contest to be legally available in quebec, the contest host must guarantee a prize (protect entrants from fraud) by paying a certain percentage of the official prize value to the quebec gov't. There is some extra registration process so it's rarely ever in the interest of the contest offererer to go through this.
