  1. thx for the updates. Please say hi to Van for me. It's been a long time since him and I hung out
  2. you know I have heard your tune before. You're also yet to be proven wrong on anything that you've seen. have you seen the Slip though? Maybe this is the show for you my friend!
  3. ah yes' date=' the opening band that are getting more hype than the headliners. carry on.... [/quote'] exactly mang. for me, seeing The Slip (Bostonians) being part of a bigger thing than I have ever seen is more than I could hope for in a show. You'd get one little opener Slip set that would smack ass and then, as an MMJ virgin, lose that ass. Cool recipe!
  4. I am...internally. It's so incredible. I haven't SEEN MMJ yet, so this is why I'm in a panic on what to do. I absolutely LOVE the Slip, so it seems like a perfect opportunity where I can get 2 birds stoned at once (Ricky TPB). MMJ just opened for Pearl Jam. The Slip are opening for MMJ. How many degrees of seperation do we have here? Don't forget their Duo connection and the Duo's Trey connection. Oh, and Brad played with Mike G. and the Duo at Higher Ground as well. It's all coming together.
  5. I'm curious how you guys listen to Sirius radio. We have a car kit, but my deck doesn't have an input. I think that's my very next purchase. A deck that will take the Sirius and the iPod. Anyway, we have it playing through the stereo, and I rarely put on CD's in the living area anymore. When it's listening time (like preparing dinner), I put it on. Now, what station you might ask? We've always just kept it on JamOn. But, you know what? It got OLD! They don't add too much new. Phish hour every night from 7-8 could be a different show. I haven't heard anything from The Slip! I think Sirius actually is responsible for my nausea of Keller Williams. There is a channel that is mixing things up quite alot for me. I just hope it doesn't get too old too quick. It's called Left of Center. It's basically what you'd normally catergorize as Indie Rock. Thom Yorke just finished a tune, so I don't know how Indie he is, but it's a great station. I can't wait to get it into the car for a road trip though and enjoy the comedy station. Comedy is INCREDIBLE for road trips. OK, so what are your favourite stations? (We'll probably get Jam On back playing here and there. It is good, but it can't be exclusive)
  6. I'm buying new pants for this. Maybe even a new funk jacket!
  7. 300 bucks to fly to Boston and back. HOMETOWN FUCKIN' SHOW!

  11. I think there are alot of people that would pay that in Ottawa. It's also at a real venue. It's good to see the Bronson Center getting used. However, I doubt there will be any liquor flowing. SNOOTS!
  12. to bad that machine is blocked on our network.

  16. [blurb]Xavier Rudd FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 17th – BRONSON CENTRE (with special guest JUSTIN NOZUKA) ALL AGES • DOORS 7:00 PM • Tickets $30.00 MONDAY, NOVEMBER 20th – Toronto, ON - Kool Haus (with special guest KO KAPCHES) ALL AGES/GENERAL ADMISSION • DOORS 7:00PM • Tickets $25.00 TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 21st – LONDON, ON - Centennial Hall (with special guest KO KAPCHES) GA FLOOR/RESERVED SEATING • DOORS 7:00PM • Tickets $25.00[/blurb] XAVIER RUDD has built an international reputation with, literally, his hands and his feet. From his bare soles on a wooden resonator box to the breath humming in his didgeridoos, his work resonates from the ground up and the inside out. It is quite a sight to behold for sure, one that’s drawn him a “one-man band” label from impressed critics, a tag that makes him grin. WhileRUDD leaves audience members slack-jawed on a regular basis, he’s hardly the cheeky street performer with cymbals fastened to his knees or ankles, he genuinely deserves the one-man band tag. His sixth album Food In The Belly, in stores now, reflects the world he has witnessed while on tour throughout the years with lucid poetry and uncluttered arrangements. It’s not a rose-coloured vision, but one that finds strength from a perspective of rare calm and recognition of fundamental beauty. TICKETS ON SALE FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 22 AVAILABLE AT ALL TICKETMASTER OUTLETS, OR CALL (613) 755-1111 TO CHARGE BY PHONE. ORDER ON LINE - http://www.ticketmaster.ca or http://www.hob.ca
  17. does Cafe Deckuf still have that big pipe going out to the internet? They used to be able to broadcast shows to the internet. I think they should pull that stuff out!
