  1. I'm definately going to start using drainbow. I'll start weekly, and then move on to daily usage. I may even jump right in and use it once today.

I may even try and use the word "Irregardless" and see how many people correct me. Isn't that word part of a huge underground debate?

    Irregardless (one down), good article.

  2. Hey, my computer is on the internet again!

It took way too long, but I guess not realizing that I was working with a network cable that didn't work made it more of a pain in the ass than it should have been.

I'll blame treytor for not being here with a cable tester.

  3. I'm so glad (and jealous) to hear that the boys made it to Northampton.

My only issue for this weekend is primarily time as it does take about 4.5 hours to get to Burlington, and money.

If we make it to DSO, I'll walk around chanting "bones....bones...bones" and I just may be wearing a nero shirt.

I hope you nero boys get a hold of VermontDave. He seems pretty pumped about this coming weekend.

  4. You won't know until the end of the show, unless you've got your pocket Deadbase on hand and manage to get the setlist early.

The last one we went to there was webcast, but it didn't show up on DCN for quite a while after the show.

They do every one that happens at the Higher Ground.

    DSO video archive.

Watch the one from 05-21-2002 and see why you can't miss this if it's even remotely possible to get there for it.

  5. yeehaw....my computer is getting setup today... (I can here dr.hux now... geeeeeeeeeek!)...

I'll let you know if the transplant is successful.

H, I'll prolly be in the falls either tomorrow or wednesday.

bb, why don't you just come to town and pick up the toaster. Hell, you can take it home as an 'award'! We met your US friends at the dekcuf last Thursday. That was quite a nice suprise. Maki super policeman recognized them from the CT fest right away.

I think they were happy to take your advice and come out. Wouldn't it be easy for you to meet them half-way right here in Ottawa for NYE? Nero's playing [Wink]

  6. I really really really really really really wanna make it to DSO and nero next weekend.

It is basically the coolest weekend possible. 2 nights in b-town. Night one, DSO at Higher Ground, the SWEETEST live venue I've ever been to. They create a magical evening for anyone that loves the dead, and can turn anyone into a deadhead by providing them with basically a virtual live experience.

I like to compare them to the virtual reality of the future.

Night two, Nero returns to B-town. It was a blast to see them there in there first gig, and Valencia's has really warmed up to them since from what I've heard.

I have about 4 days to figure out if it's possible to make it down.

  7. TMNS were sounding INCREDIBLE. The Cafe Dekcuf is by far the greatest venue for such sweet sounds. Everything sounds and looks great in there. I've never enjoyed TMNS as much as I did last night.

It's too bad that the BGH didn't get to run through everything, but it would have been unfortunate to affect TMNS in any way.

I had a great time with everyone last night. I didn't get in on one flaming monkey. As Rick put it, "You see, the banana makes it taste like monkeys". I had no idea that monkeys tasted like bananas.

Dave-O and I were wondering what happened to Dr. Hux. Well, I just came across this little footage filmed from the NewRO.

  8. I can't seem to find the kinks.

But, I forgot about one majorly important christmas song....

"another lonely christmas" by prince...that's some super shit.

The compilation is coming along way tooo good. It may be a 2-disc set. I'll put up the list after it's set in stone. Listening to XTC "Thanks for Christmas" right now...killer.

Keep em coming. I found the Run DMC tune, and it's WICKED.

  9. I like all of those ide'ers...

I just wish I could remember the tune that Paul McCartney did in the eighties. I think that was a good one, but for the life of me, I cannot recall what it's called.

Here are a few that I'll try and find too...

do they know it's christmas - bananarama and various artists

merry xmas (war is over) - lennon

santa claus is back in town - elvis

The Twelve Days of Christmas - Bob and Doug Mackenzie

    H, I'll make you one.

  10. Call up sprint and axe them how much for these things...

    Motherboard Combo with

    Athlon XP 2000/ECS K7S5A Motherboard

512 Meg 266 MHZ DDR Ram

(all of the above will speed up your processing of audio files as long as you keep going up)

    LG CD Burner

Biggest harddrive you can afford. (You should

be able to shoot for a maxtor 80 Gig though)

    Case

I'd ask tungsten gruvsten on a preferred sound card for doing transfers. But, maybe an Soundblaster Audigy will do?

Video card, go with an Nvidia Geforce 3 or a Geforce 4 MX video card. You could also get one with TV out. There are a few versions of those. You could play a cool game if you wanted to with that. There should be one for around 125 bucks. If you really only want a display that does jack-shit beyond that...that motherboard should have onboard video, but it may take away from your processor power. If it does, then you can get a cheap ATI for under 50 bucks.

Monitor, well, you can just go ahead and pick whatever you want. Bigger is better, as always though, and so is flatter.
