  3. http://www.roythomson.com/eventInfo.cfm?E=100&YearMonth=2008,8 Daniel Lanois Massey Hall $49.50 - $39.50 November 14, 2008 8:00 PM FriendsFirst Ticket Sales Begin: August 13, 2008 10:00 AM Buy Friends Tickets What's FriendsFirst? Public Ticket Sales Begin: August 18, 2008 10:00 AM Send to a Friend Massey Hall presents As a producer, Daniel Lanois has taken the careers of many of our favourite artists to stratospheric levels. As a singer-songwriter, his work is both timeless and futuristic, organic and haunting. Joining Lanois on stage at Massey Hall will be Brian Blade (drums) and from Mother Superior, Marcus Blake (bass) and Jim Wilson (guitar). Rock ’n’ roll fueled by current sonic inspirations, a little story telling and some vintage Lanois will be the essence of this very special performance.

  5. Synchronized diving is really cool to watch imho. And the end to that race in the rain was a good one eh? A sprint UPHILL to the finish?! Nuts. And the Canadian who finished well and she's 38, along with a French rider who raced who's days shy of 50!! Talk about athletes
  6. OMG ... i'd love to go to this show. To see them in a tiny tiny venue and be able to vote on a few songs ... and maybe win a guitar ... hmmmmmm. Gotta look at the balance. Of the 4 times I've seen them i think I paid $75, $75, $40, and FREE. So averaging $47.50 per show and now gotta shell out $129 for another gig would bump up the average to $63 per show. To me, that's a reasonable price for the kickass talent that you get to see with these guys. (Trying to justify this anyway i can ) I was at the Buffalo gig last Thursday. Cold and rainy, but it cleared up for their set long enough to get 90mins worth. They had to stop due to lightening and the sky just opening up with torrential rain. I didn't go back to catch anymore and headed home. These guys come off WAYYYY better in indoor venues with reserved seating IMHO. What to do? What to do?
  7. I'm cheering for China to beat the US in basketball right now :)

  13. Both of those scenes were highlights for me too Bob. That unicorn was a trip The GWB scene was classic. Was really surprised that I loved both of these installments. The Doogie scenes were great. The dialogue was a riot considering we all now know that he's out of the closet too.
  14. It's totally easy. You simply pull each of the parts (super fast depending on your connection ). Then, using WINRAR (free app) you uncompress them in a single step. When it does that, it joins them together and you end up with your file(s) ready to listen/watch/burn. I tried out RapidShare for a month ($9 or something). It's a breeze. So worth it. I joined for another 3 months ($24). I'm totally getting my money's worth. You can also utilize your account from ANY computer, not just your home one. I download at work quite often
