  1. Phil is rockin'! This Particle tune is killer. Wicked groove.
  2. Ha!! Too funny. Basher, do you remember that segment in the show with the second stage (in the centre of the 400 section just in front of the lawns) My one and only performance on stage there. Hey Julia ... damn I would have gone to the Cult in a second!!! Are you talking about that Town Ballroom show in Buffalo??? That was supposed to be amazing. I caught them at Massey Hall in 85 on the "Love" tour Sweet shit man.
  3. How come you won't have a choice??? Back when the Molson Amph opened up, Adams was the first concert there. I had some tix on the lawn. Got well into the drafts and was completely obnoxious when he started singing that Robin Hood crap. Then he went to a satellite stage and I ended up on that stage with him and the band singing "She' Only Happy When She's Dancing" ... seriously. It was pretty damn funny. No camera phones on the scene so I have no record of it. I'm sure there were pictures taken since it was the opening of the venue.
  4. I'm going to be there for sure!!! I've got the day off and can't wait to get down there.

  6. That would be fucking awesome to head down there with 150 tix and MIRACLE a shitload of people. However, there may not be 150 walk up customers down there tonight
  7. tempting, oh so tempting ... don't let those stupid coworkers get these tix people! Wait, to the Blue Jays have cheerleaders yet??? No? Damn
  8. Thanks for that vid link. Clarke is fantastic. Check out the riffs at the 10min mark and the ensuing insanity
  9. Holy Shit ... i didn't hear about this gig. Just stumbled upon it while looking at Toronto listings on Pollstar: S.m.v: Stanley Clarke, Marcus Miller, Victor Wooten Sound Academy, Toronto, ON Wed, Aug 20, 2008 09:00 PM $30 !! http://www.smvmusic.com/
  10. Little voice inside my head said don't look back you can never go back ... except to cash in for a few years on a tour with some other musicians you can't stand and rake in the cash from boomers willing to pay big bucks for ducats.
  11. Al, you're probably right. I seem to recall that I had a picture of the marquee. It's at home "somewhere." I didn't go to the next Monkeys show there in 1999, but it was a long one too and ended at 4am!!!
  12. Right on. I caught a Monkeys On Ecstacy show (with Big Woolly Mammoth) back in '97. It was the night after (or before) the Furthur show at the Molson Amph and they did the gig in Buffalo at Broadway Joe's. Place was tiny and a lot of fun. http://www.archive.org/details/moe1997-07-10.sbd.flac16
  13. PRESALE password in case anyone here is lucky enough to be heading to some of these shows
  14. They are worth every penny, that's for sure. I've been on hold since 10am on the phone trying to get tix for the Zucchero show for my manager here at work. They were supposed to be onsale for Friends, but it's not coming up?! Got through ... got her 2nd row ... she's one happy Italian
  15. Anyone need invites? I got a ton (well about 18 or so )
  16. I can find/get you this (it's audio only by the looks of it):
  17. Free MP3 of Goodnight Daughters of the Revolution from the Massey Hall gig here: http://cryptical.nugs.net/vault/free/tbc080712d2_05_Goodbye_Daughters_Of_The_Revolution.mp3 Whole show available here: http://www.liveblackcrowes.com/live-music/0,2824/The-Black-Crowes-mp3-flac-download-7-12-2008-BC-Roadshow-Toronto-ONT.html
  18. Brad, thanks for the tip! I have some friends coming over that day, but I might just be able to convince them to head to the Beaches Jazz Fest. That would be a ton of fun.
  19. Breast feeding is great if the mother can do it. Not everyone can, and there can be other complications too. It sucks when so much written about the topic with the impression that you are damaging your child by not being able/choosing to breast feed them. Can really do a number on parents' morale and not a good thing when a new mother could be dealing with depression, etc.
