  1. FANTASTIC live band! I'm going to this one for sure. Last time I saw them was at the Horseshoe Tavern!
  2. Thanks for the info. DAMN, they are playing 9:30-11:00 on August 9th ... i'm WORKING So, now I'll be missing JBT and a local Sisters Euclid show that day because of work ... dammit!! http://www.oakvillejazz.com/graphics/Schedule/2008Schedule.pdf
  3. Nice work Hick, So, when are you coming over to assess my place and starting work?!?!?! I'll make sure you've got good tunes to listen to and plenty of drinks
  4. We just celebrated being diaper-free in our house! Next one in them will be me Disposables for us all the way. Not that "green" but when dealing with that much "brown" holy fuck it's convenient btw - those "diaper genies" that make disposable diaper sausage links do not contain all the SMELL. Shit stinks, plain and simple (and in the hot summer days it's the worst).
  5. Right on Bob (and Mellie of course ) Enjoy the ride. It's the best one out there.
  6. Exactly. He is the ultimate TROLL.
  7. OK, so anyone looking to pay the big bucks for their ticket in advance, here's some presale info for ya. Good LUCK!!! THE WHO Wednesday, October 22 at 8:00 p.m. Copps Coliseum Pre-Sale: July 24 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Password: CSI Public On Sale: Friday, July 25 at 10 a.m.
  8. Those prices are atrocious. I hope they tank in their sales (like the Bills) and end up begging us to buy tix. Can't see the Hamilton area audiences ponying up that kind of bread for a half-Who gig!
  9. Hick I'd be there in a heartbeat. I have to work the shift that ends at 10pm and that's the second day of the Olympics. Why the fuck can't JBT be playing their own gig?? Damn. You go and enjoy it for me too.
  10. Would love to be there for JBT, but as an opener I'd prob miss 'em. I've gotta work that night until 10pm (fucking Olympics ) so I really would have preferred it if GLove had gotten the opening slot
  11. Well, it looks like the next phase of The Musical Box is to begin. New info, pics, audio on the site with the new lead singer: http://www.themusicalbox.net Looking forward to this tour.
  12. I'm using this as a "listening booth". Checking out The Hold Steady and will get an idea of whether I should invest in a concert ticket, t-shirt, CD, DVD, etc. It's impossible to stop this sort of thing now. I've been looking at some forums that are all about this sort of link posting using Rapid Share as the preferred gateway. The material is absolutely endless out there. Take a look at these sites for a quick idea: http://tehparadox.com/ http://legalmusic4all.com/ Many of them are operated via blogs too: http://jollyjoke.blogspot.com/ The RIAA is fighting a losing battle. They've tried to dictate how music should be produced, marketed, distributed, and consumed. Times have changed and they've now fallen behind.
  13. I am blushing from your kind compliments. Thank You The game was a lot of fun today. Perfect way to spend a RAINY day. Fourth quarter 109yard drive for an acrobatic touchdown to win the game. Right in front of our seats too Kids had a blast and so did we. Thanks again for providing the opportunity. Here are a couple of pics:
  14. Nice!!! I bumped into Rory at the fantastic Phil and Levon show in Rochester last weekend. He had just gotten MARRIED the day before! Congrats Rory
  15. It will look amazing for the sequences done in IMAX. This is what IMAX.com says: http://www.imax.com/ImaxWeb/filmDetail.do?type=comingSoon&movieID=code__.__448 THE DARK KNIGHT: THE IMAX EXPERIENCE, from Warner Bros. Pictures, will feature six sequences filmed with IMAX® cameras. This marks the first time ever that a major feature film has been even partially shot using IMAX cameras, marking a revolutionary integration of the two film formats.
  16. New one day record: http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5iUrp4FEo_7YQxrTpBze-Hk4ob7PAD92118180
  17. I'll be on the lookout. Whoever sees a link (torrent, rapidshare, etc.) please post it here. Should be a historic show.
  18. The concert will be available the next day on the interwebs for the price of $0.00
  19. I've grabbed a bunch too. Some really good ones. However, some of them are encoded at only 128K
