  3. It's just such bullshit. They use the facade that they are protecting their customers from rush hour traffic 24/7 and that torrents are the ultimate target. Pfft. People will always find alternate ways around it. Hey, i just discovered RapidShare!!! Damn, better that torrents. Sure, you've got to pay for an account (i gave it a shot for $11 CAN for a month to see) but WOW, what a difference. You pull down stuff via http and you're done! Easy Breezy. There are sites all over the place running this way now. I have just scratched the surface. Take a look at this ONE for example: http://www.twistysdownload.com/12.html BONUS: with the RapidShare account, they don't want you to share it with others, but i can use my username and password at home AND at work So, you could actually share the costs of an account with a friend as well.
  4. Rumour has it that she's going to finally step down from the race today!

  6. Ho Lee Fuk! I'm fighting the Nyquil and meds for this fucking cold ... gotta ... stay ... awake ....
  7. exactly ... and the Hummingbird gig was supposed to be a "good one" Hit or Miss ... gamble your $195 if you like the odds I'm sure the Bluesfest price would have been a lot easier to swallow had it been a dud of a set.
  8. yeah, and with his back to the crowd for half the show (i remember a particularly poor one and the CNE Grandstand years ago ).
  9. Would like to go ... wayyyy too steep a $$$ for my liking though, especially when his gigs can be hit or miss.
  10. From http://craziestgadgets.com/2008/06/02/homemade-grateful-dead-video-game-cabinet/ Check out all the details, pics and how he did it here: http://phishpac.blogspot.com/ A Houston, TX man has created this awesome cool Grateful Dead video game cabinet. The Grateful Arcade was a homemade project that was Truckin’ along slowly, almost 2 years in the making. It was made completely from scratch, starting with big pieces of wood to make the cabinet. Unfortunately for the Deadhead designer, there is still no Grateful Dead video game out there, but he did manage to install 7,000 games (wow!) via mame roms. The coolest part has to be light up glowing steal your face trackball: To see the entire step by step process on how this enterprising DIY’er created this from start to finish, check out his site phishpac.blogspot.com. Now if only they could create the Grateful Dead video game for this guy, he’d be in heaven (level 1: getting to the concert in a 45mph top speed VW bus; level 2: looking for the stadium bathrooms after eating a bad veggie burrito in the parking lot…).

  14. Come on down ... it's on a Satruday too! And the night before Derek Trucks and Susan Tadeschi's Soul Stew Review is going to rock the brewery!!
  15. Yup, ain't no way that the Pens are gonna stop that big red machine now. Hopefully it'll chalk up to a huge experience for the young'uns (and with a better outcome that Ottawa had after attending the big dance). The party in Nfld is going to be over the top once the championship is official!
  16. They're gonna be in Rochester playing with some guy named Phil too. You goin? It's gonna be killer.
  17. Just got home from my son's birthday party and cranked up the webcast. Just in time for a sweet-ass DBT intro to "Let There Be Rock"!!! Fuck Yeah! LEVON. I'm getting a drink and gonna kick back now. Damn ... wish i could be there LET THERE BE ROCK (Hood / DBT) Dropped acid, Blue Oyster Cult concert, fourteen years old, And I thought them lasers were a spider chasing me. On my way home, got pulled over in Rogersville Alabama, with a half-ounce of weed and a case of Sterling Big Mouth. My buddy Gene was driving, he just barely turned sixteen. And I'd like to say, "I'm sorry", but we lived to tell about it And we lived to do a whole lot more crazy, stupid, shit. And I never saw Lynyrd Skynyrd but I sure saw Molly Hatchet With 38 Special and the Johnny Van Zant Band. One night when I was seventeen, I drank a fifth of vodka, on an empty stomach, then drove over to a friend's house. And I backed my car between his parent's Cadillac's without a scratch. Then crawled to the back door and slithered threw the key hole, and sneaked up the stares And puked in the toilet. I passed out and nearly drowned but his sister, DD, pulled me out. And I never saw Lynyrd Skynyrd but I sure saw Molly Hatchet And the band that I was in played "The Boy's are Back in Town". Skynyrd was set to play Huntsville, Alabama, in the spring of 77, I had a ticket but it got cancelled. So, the show, it was rescheduled for the "Street Survivors Tour". And the rest, as they say, is history. So I never saw Lynyrd Skynyrd but I sure saw Ozzy Osbourne with Randy Rhoads in 82 Right before that plane crash. And I never saw Lynyrd Skynyrd but I sure saw AC/DC With Bon Scott singing, "Let There Be Rock Tour". With Bon Scott singing, LET THERE BE ROCK!
  18. Thanks for the details. I did go with the Class 4. Charging up the batt right now. Should be good to go by the time i'm outta work. Should keep me occupied on the GO Train ride home Oh yea, and i'm definitely going to use that 'hack' that was posted as well. Looks cool: http://lifehacker.com/387380/turn-your-point+and+shoot-into-a-super+camera
  19. Yup, I want to change over in the biggest way (even though I'm not a Bell ISP customer) to Teksavvy. Problem is with the Bell lines to my house. They can't promise the higher speeds as of yet. Bell just doesn't want to keep all their lines up to date technology wise
  20. The last paragraph in that summary is a really good analogy as to what this is all about:
  21. ^^^^^ LOL Last night's episode of Lost was killer
