  1. AyyyOooo ... I can always congratulate a winner. I've complimented the Wings many a time in here and would gladly do so again. They were completely deserving of the championship. A true TEAM. Detroit fans should have big grins on their faces for a while (maybe even another year?) and be proud of their franchise. It was a highly entertaining series to watch and I'm glad it wasn't a quick sweep. After the first 2 games it was looking iffy. I was majorly impressed with Zetterberg. Who else could they have actually given the MVP to, really? Franzen was wild to watch too. Amazing how that guy can drag the puck to the net through traffic and then roof it. The Pens will be back in a big way. They can only learn from this experience. Their play was frustrating at times, but they were tenacious and showed a lot of grit. I still can't believe that Hasek gets his name on the cup again
  2. Right on! Didn't know that my son has the same bday as Gordon. Maybe I should be encouraging the bass instead of that guitar I got him .
  3. No prob. I'm thinking of getting a game of ball hockey in my driveway with the next Jehova's Witlesses that come by my place ... or maybe invite them for a swim .

  5. Now here's a different way to deal with the JW's at your door!
  6. Crazy finish tonight is right! So close. Detroit was fantastic. That is one hell of a team. Both of these teams are going to be coming back strong next year. Could you image a reamatch? The should have had Roberts out there on that 5 on 3
  7. Thanks for the info. Sounds like a good deal, IMHO. Good point on the d/l'ing at work too. Totally agree with you (i'll do it at the desk beside me ).
  8. Nice! Love Wilcox. My mom gave his daughter (Simon) a hobby horse of mine way back in the 70s Small world.
  9. You sick too?! Sucks eh? Sudafed Sinus Plus, Mometasone Furoate nasal spray, and Nyquil shot at night are helping me
  10. Have a great time tonight for anyone who's going. Looking forward to tomorrow night's gig
  11. Thanks for the clarification. Read "Shakey". Fantastic book.
  12. To stand on Juno Beach was a haunting experience. To visit the Canadian graves at Beny-sur-Mer was humbling to say the least. A beautiful patch of Canada, immaculately cared for and manicured. Big maple trees towering over the headstones. Time there, along with meeting some fantastic families while we stayed in Holland for a couple of weeks made me so proud to be a Canadian. I couldn't wait to see an obnoxious American backpacker with our flag on their bag to teach a lesson. I called my grandfather from England the next day and thanked him (before Bell made that commercial was made). Another beautiful spot is Giverny. Where Monet had a house and his beautiful gardens. It's stunning (but try to get there early before the tour busses arrive. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giverny If you like impressionist art, check out the Musee d'Orsay. Amazing stuff. I was blown away by Seurat's pointillism pieces. Especially Circus
  13. 346. Songs about the province/state where you were born by musicians also born in that same province/state.. (the musician can be part of a band, but mention the musician's name and place of birth. It could be just mentioned in the song, doesn't have to be part of the title..) 1. 15. thanks for the info. Can you utilize your easynews account from different computers, or only one? Curious.
  16. i open up my George Foreman-like grill and do it on there. Fat drains away nicely. Use the strips i need, and put the rest in the fridge. Then there's bacon at my disposal anytime for a quick 10sec nuke ... nom nom nom. Some home-made crutons (good toast with some Mrs. Dash on it) romaine lettuce and some fresh ground parmasan ... kickass Ceasar
  17. Church of Dudism man: http://www.dudeism.com/ ps . . . a lot of this topic goes on in the Politics forum http://jambands.ca/sanctuary/showtopic.php?tid/235889/
  18. A friend at work used something similar to easynews: http://www.newscene.com/pricing.html He said he signed on for a month and they didn't meter the cap, so no need to pay premium.
  19. just find a hot Polish woman in a hockey sweater (or less) and you'll be forgiven
  20. So, i guess i should tell them about everything I talk about on the phone too ... in good faith?
  21. Yup, that seems to be the word today. Fletcher has said that he will remain in the GM role for the season if need be. Burke's wife has already stepped down from her position at CBC Vancouver anticipating a move. I can't see them hiring a coach before a GM without something up their sleeve. Still can't trust rumours completely though.
  22. bouche, i've just checked around a little bit with RapidShare. It seems that you've just gotta find out where the files are, and sometimes what the passwords are to open up the RAR files. With a few people looking around we could probably find a lot of stuff (and even share a couple of accounts). Maybe since we no longer have an OINK forum, we could start a new one that could encompass RapidShare, StMusic, Waffles, etc. etc. etc.?
  23. Do the CATACOMBS When I was there in '95 they were closed They are supposed to be absolutely amazing. There are Parisians who party down there and have found amazing parts (lots still unexplored) like a movie theater that was used by the Germans! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catacombs_of_Paris http://www.catacombes-de-paris.fr/english.htm http://www.catacombes-de-paris.fr/catacombes.pdf For concerts, here are some while you are there: 06/10/08 Phillip Walker Le Meridien Hotel 06/10/08 Bat For Lashes Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy 06/10/08 Radiohead Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy 06/10/08 Avril Lavigne Zenith Paris 06/11/08 Manu Chao Bercy - Dance Machine 06/11/08 Queensryche Elysee Montmartre 06/11/08 Joshua Radin La Maroquinerie 06/11/08 Phillip Walker Le Meridien Hotel 06/11/08 Juanes Zenith Paris 06/12/08 Phillip Walker Le Meridien Hotel 06/13/08 Phillip Walker Le Meridien Hotel 06/14/08 Phillip Walker Le Meridien Hotel 06/14/08 Plants & Animals Main D'Oeuvre 06/15/08 Phillip Walker Le Meridien Hotel 06/17/08 KISS Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy 06/18/08 Paramore Le Bataclan 06/18/08 Rose Olympia
