  1. That would be moe. for sure Mark. Awesome addition if it is. Might just have to make that the fest to go to again this summer!! Love that site. Would love to party down with you guys again too. [color:purple]I was really hoping it was going to be the Goo Goo Dolls though
  2. FANTASTIC documentary. Absolutely incredible Canadian. Incredible what Dellaire went through while the world just sat back and ignored the situation. To get an understanding of what went down in Rwanda, and why it and many other African nations are dealing with so many troubles, everyone should watch this. Newsworld repeats this program a few times through the week in case you miss it.
  3. waste of $$$$ ... he'll be out with a foot prob within a couple of weeks.
  4. not much of a game? Yeah, maybe if you're talking about Emery ... Leafs are playing like a REAL team tonight. This is a pleasure to watch.
  5. test drive it here: http://www.sendspace.com/file/vqjehk
  6. Haven't heard of this film yet, but the soundtrack looks great:
  7. Thanks for the tips. I've noted it and will hopefully be able to get to them soon. Swarengen ... Wu ... Cocksucker!
  8. ^^^^^^ unWellwood. After some of his fantastic play last season, he's been an utter disappointment this year. I really was expecting some good things from him.
  9. Are you serious?! That's absolutely ridiculous. What a bunch of 'tards. They should be campaigning to get the other mucks to lift their NTCs (McBagopucks, Kubina, Tucker).
  10. Yeah, Jokinen would be good in a Flames jersey too. I mentioned Kilger because he reminds me of Calgary hockey. Maybe they do have too many of "him" already there .
  11. This thread had a bunch about Deadwood. I just had to post once more about this series. I LOVED it! My wife LOVED it! Never thought that she'd go crazy over a Western themed series. Last week we finished the last of Season 3. I'm bummed that it's over, but damn it was fun while it lasted (even though I saw the whole thing after it was over) Great storyline/writing, beautiful filming and sets, killer characters and development. Al Swearengen has to be one of the best TV show characters of all time. FUCK! If anyone out there wants to see the series, let me know. i have it in DivX format on 4 DVDs. More than willing to do a b&p for them or something. Thanks to all of you who promoted Deadwood here. I doubt I would have seen it if I hadn't heeded your advice. Catching up on Weeds now ... great show to watch while you're "baking" Still looking at doing Battlestar Galactica, The Wire, Firefly, etc. etc. etc.
  12. I agree. Years have gone by with the promise that we'll someday see the potential of the great Antropov. Seriously, I don't think the wait has been worth the luke-warm season we've seen from him this year. I say unload him while he looks appealing to some other teams and worth a little something. To me, it looks like he's plateaued (sp?) and only has room to slump or get injured = liability. Hal mentioned Kilger and he's bang on, IMHO. He's totally one of those players who can be added to a roster and totally be a force for a playoff run. Perfect to raise the level and grittiness of a 3rd line somewhere. I could picture Kilger in a Flames jersey ...
  13. I want a trunk monkey!
  14. "Yayyyyyy ... the school busses are here. We can get away from the scary old guy with pointy ears and that creepy chuckle"
  15. Yup, agreed (about the 3-4 paragraph edit the article should have had ). What the hell would you get if you crossed; and ????????
  16. UGH! Damian Cox ... now Rosie? I'm feeling realy queasy now Her writing style is postively puke-making. The purple prose, and references to try to make her cool/hip are laughable. WTF is that? I just can't take her seriously. It's not that I disagree with what she has to say, just don't find the way she says it appealing at all. She could be edited down to 3 paragraphs and save ink.
  17. I am excited that he is staying. It doesn't mean that they are going to make the playoffs this season, or even next maybe. However, he can be a valuable player for at least a couple of more seasons if he chooses to play. Aside from his hockey skills, he is an unbelievable asset as a leader and mentor to the younger players and (hopefully) some early round picks in the upcoming draft .
  18. Streaming a great solo acoustic Bruce Cockburn show: http://www.cbc.ca/radio2/singleConcert.html?20070912bruce Bruce Cockburn at The Banff Centre Recorded 8/9/2007 at Eric Harvie Theatre, The Banff Centre in Banff, AB In a career that now extends 40 years and over 25 albums, Bruce Cockburn possesses an ability to distill political events, spiritual revelations, and personal experience into rich, compelling songs that have made him one of this country’s finest and most-honoured musical icons and one of the world’s most celebrated artists. He is a performer who masterfully moves his audience through a range of emotions, at one moment inspiring them to dance and the next inspiring them to think. A passionate social advocate, a deft guitarist, and an adventurous musical spirit, Cockburn performs music and songs that are glimmering snapshots of a provocative, probing, and important performer. We welcome his long overdue return to Banff for this special, solo concert.
  19. Wha? I can't hear you guys!!! Somebody's been YELLING TOO MUCH
  20. Based on the standings, i'd say that's not the most insightful comment. http://www.nhl.com/nhl/app?service=page&page=StandingsPage
  21. Right you are. Supposedly that comment that was reportedly to have be said by Sundin was completely bogus too. The quote was something like "I'm not waving my no-trade to fix JFJ's mistakes". Sundin was reportedly on the phone asap to JFJ when that came out to tell him it was false. The media is wayyyyyy too desperate for a story right now and the whole deadline will probably pass without much of a fizzle. btw - The more I hear out of Damian Cox's mouth, the more of an ass I think he is.
  22. Sure, if there's a unit being taught on religious knowledge (which is allowable based on the Ontario Curriculum). Apart from that, no, prayers should not be included in the public school system. After the playing of O'Canada there is a moment of "silent meditation" ... pray away to your heart's content at that moment. Aside from the Roman Catholic School Board in Ontario, the funding of religous schools is private. That allows them to include prayer wherever and whenver they want. The only reason the RC Board is still funded by the gov't is due to the makeup of the population (primarily Quebec at 85%) being RC at the time of Confederation. The BNA Act guarantees the funding of the RC Board even though it is declared discriminatory by the UN. Nope, religion in public school causes absolutely no problems or friction ....
  23. I respect his decision. He's holding up his end of the contract, so should management. I truly hope that MLSE gets major heat if they decide to smear Sundin for not deciding to leave.
