  1. From undercover.com Led Zeppelin to Reform by Paul Cashmere - September 2 2007 London radio is abuzz today of an impending announcement of the reformation of Led Zeppelin, for at least a one-off concert. The 70s supergroup disbanded in 1980 following the death of their drummer John Bonham. The surviving members decided to discontinue at that point, claiming that the band died with Bonham. However, they have reformed on two occasions since. The first was the 1985 Live Aid concert. Phil Collins replaced Bonham but the band didn't like the performance and refused to allow it to appear on the recent Live Aid DVD. The second occasion was for the Hall of Fame induction in 1995. Robert Plant & Jimmy Page have also toured together as Plant & Page performing a near complete Led Zeppelin setlist but without the classic 'Stairway To Heaven'. The November show will be held at London's O2 stadium (formerly the Millenium Dome). The line-up will be Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones with Bonham's son Jason expected to be announced as the drummer for the show. While the announcement is yet to be made, newspapers in London today are carrying advertisements for a package deal for the show including accommodation.

  5. From Jambands.com: "As Relix subscribers have already discovered via their CD Sampler, a new live Phish recording is slated for release this fall. 12/06/96 Aladdin Theater Las Vegas, NV captures the band's final show on a thirty-five date tour. The version of "Julius" that appears on the sampler, opens the second set of a show that is best-known for its encore. Primus' Les Claypool and Larry LaLonde joined in for much of "Harpua," which also featured guest appearances by John McEuen and four Elvis impersonators, with Primus' drummer Brian Mantia later stepping for the "Suzy Greenberg" that followed and closed out the night."

Argh ... it's choking me up right now. I couldn't bear to lose one of my kids (both near the same age as Connor Clapton when he died). Clapton wrote this one about his son as the last thing they did before he died was attending a circus. Eric Clapton The Circus Left Town Little man with his eyes on fire and his smile so bright. In his hands are the toys you gave to fill his heart with delight. And in the ring stands a circus clown holding up a light. What you see and what you will hear will last you the rest of your life. And it's sad, so sad, there ain't no easy way round, And it's sad, so sad, all you friends gather round, 'Cause the circus left town. Little man with his heart so pure and his love so fine. Stick with me and I'll ride with you till the end of the line. Hold my hand and I'll walk with you through the darkest night. When I smile I'll be thinking of you and everything will be all right.
