Rolling Stone: Phish to headline Bonnaroo
dimafleck: the living legend. replied to Basher's topic in Soundboard
yeah man.... Hip Hop is like a pure sellout maintream..... what happened to the fans man. Phish used to be one of us man...now they're like all about making money and playing festivals owned by MTV. Bonnaroo is like a pop festival now...whats next? MILEY CYRUS plays late night? this is like total bullshit man....what happened to caring about the SCENE!!!?!?!? from now on, i'm sticking to the smaller, kinder fests that still live by Jerry's creed. There, the promoter cares about the fans...and like money isn't his like, ultimate motivation....there you can find kind brothers and heady mamas... and like all the money made goes right back to the forests where it belongs. -

MoMack you're a filthy hippy. Bonnaroo's roots where amazing.... 7 years ago. That exact line up wouldn't draw 30 000 people these days. Bonnaroo brings together the best live bands, djs, artists together for one weekend. THATS IT. hippy's that think its some how sold out and lost its roots can shove off. i much rather see 1 or 2 jambands that i really love...and then see an immense variety of music (underground, maintream...whatever.. labels are for fools.) . phish is perfect for bonnaroo for many reasons but most importantly, bonnaroo's primary focus is live music... and phish is one of the best live bands ever. anyone trying to get phish to be in some imaginary mold that exists in their past can go fuck off. I love bonnaroo. Been to everyone but the first. I love phish. anyone that can't just accept some band playing some festival has invested too much into somthing that...at the end of the day.... shouldn't be the be all, and end all of your life. and I don't get how people actually think phish could pull of a Summer Fest on their own after 5 years off, and disolving their entire operation. I just don't get it. Phish doesn't even run its own merch. -

You know what really grinds my gears?

i have noticed a general trend toward disinterested help with a realxed attitude toward hygiene at tim hortons' date=' and am way less interested in eating most of their food. they win out over no food at all, but not by a hell of a lot. and they are hiring more and more immigrants who's skin color is not white. -

such a beautiful book. its perfectly organized. The layout is beautiful (making it more than just a cook book, but just a great book to own). Yesterday, we got stoned and made butternut squash muffins. TOO GOOD. the book also doubles as a gardening book, because it shows you how to grow all the vegetables he uses.

so here's the story you hippie bastard ( or should i say "ticketless" hippie bastards for most of you bitter scum in here). we put in a ton of requests for lottery and nada. 3 of us went for the tickets on ticketmaster. one of whom did the phone in. 2 of us got shut out, but the guy that did the phone in snagged 2 packages. HOWEVER, we were shocked to discover that the phone operator screwed up and only sold us 2 tickets to the first night. not the package. my buddy got the direct line to the office of the ceo of ticketmaster. somthing morariarty or somthing. he bugged his secretary for a few days, until she said that he was aware of the situation, and that the head of customer service for all of ticketmaster was going to reserve 2 packages the second any became available from the promoter. yesterday, he got the call, and there were 2 packages waiting for him to order online. he did, and they also said that he was welcome to keep the 2 tickets for first night he had . already set up a trade to fill in the gaps of SAT AND SUN. and already have a stub hub extra lined up as well. so eat my confirmed for hampton ass you haters.

for those living in toronto, there is a real gem of a brunch buffet at THE BOILER HOUSE restaurant in the distillery district. Huge beautiful place, with a rustic, but modern feel. Amazing food, the best deserts/baked goods i've had in ages, and the best part is a jazz band plays the entire time on a suspended stage above everybody. its kinda pricey, but well worth the experience. with coffee, and tip, it comes to about 32 per person. if you like jazz, and good food, you gotta do this one up.
