  4. Not bad, not bad! After being pretty frugal the past couple years, this (by this I mean doing the Gorge and the Festival) is an orgy of spending for me, and to be honest I feel a little bit strange about it. I probably wouldn't be going if my wife's sister didn't live in L.A....I will get to meet my nephew for the first time!

  5. .....heres a heads up just in case you are getting virus alerts when you open iTunes (and freaked for a second like I did), it seems like its just a false positive from todays definition update.

Just add C:\Program Files\iPod and C:\Program Files\iTunes to your Resident Shield exceptions "path" list.

  6. As completely retarded and ridiculous as this is, considering that I have been jabbering to people about how I can't afford to mortgage my life to see bands or music any more.....

....I think my wife and I are going to go!

  7. friggin FAQ is hilarious!

I was just about to post that!

Can I bring a water squirt gun or mister? Sorry, these will not be allowed into the venue, though there might be some mister fans available for purchase onsite.

Oh, I'm a huge Mister fan! I like Mr. Mister so much my friends call me Kyrie. Can we get back to the questions? This is making me uncomfortable.

  8. This is linked from PT. Check it out quite regularly!

I should have put a disclaimer in my post saying "not intended to be a surprise to people who ::heart:: Phish like Basher" ;)

Oh and Punk, you ready? I mean, really, really ready??

Dispense good times. Dispose of sanity.

  9. Here's a blast from the past I found while surfing around during my current Phish "feeding frenzy":

  10. Oswego was gross. My van had a few inches of dust on the dashboard and I was covered in mud procured by the fusion of sweat and dust by the time we left...

Weird weekend; too many people doing the meatstick...

    Back to your original programming...

I don't think I have EVER been filthier than I was at the end of Oswego. The drive leaving there was rivaled only by Big Cypress in revulsion factor for me.

  11. I remember that show well. Ended up backstage after the gig due to a conversation with the big dude who was head of Phish's security (name escapes me now). Saw Fishman and Gordon back there along with some friends. Talked to Gordon briefly ... asked him where that Misty Mountain Hop came from. He just shrugged and said "I don't know ... it just appeared and felt right" :)

I have my own opinion on that, and I KNOW I have told this story on this board before, many years ago, hehe......

I was at Oswego (with my buddy Geoff who I am going to the Gorge with in a couple weeks), and after the second day, we were unwinding in The Green listening to a DJ. I was stretched out on the grass when I said to Geoff "Hey man that guy beside us sure looks a lot like Fishman". Geoff looked over and said "man....that IS Fishman!".

So that was fine, we amused ourselves for a little while by watching him smoke some doobies with a few girls, and seeing people just walking by realize it was him.

After a little while of this, the DJ, who was doing Skratch Bastid type classic rock mixes, started playing, you guessed it, Misty Mountain Hop. I immediately sprang up and started rocking the fuck out. I look over beside me and Fishman is doing the same thing, playing air drums and losing his shit!

It is my opinion that after that he went back to the boys and said "hey fellas, you know what we should do......."

Thats my story and I'm sticking to it.

    :)

  12. Ahhhhh Watson just shit the bed and bogeyed the 18th to force a playoff.....

I must confess I have been sucked in by all the hype of the 59 year old getting this far....I hope he pulls it off, nerves just killed him on the 18th.
