  2. I have experienced a number of awesome Hamilton house shows over the past number of months...it's an awesome trend in what I consider to be the fastest-growing musical community in the province. Just talking to my new housemates about hosting a show ourselves over the summer.

I'd be hitting this tonight, but I'm going to see Tell The Divers, Tugnut and Hoosier Poet at the Absinthe. Heavy shit.

  3. the amp was in repairs when these shots were taken. Its a 1960's 100w tube PA head. Since this cabinet does not have a rotating horn the acceleration sound is not as impressive. I run a roland VK-7 which has an impressive leslie simiulation and takes care of the speed-up sound. This amp shakes the house! The baffle is not traditional, rather has a built in 6x9 cone. the 15" is purly for the bass tones (i dont use pedals). I also built a crossover to maximize the tremolo sound.

    I love you, you nerd.

  4. I never lived on the Danforth but I always marvelled at it. I had friends out at Danforth and Greenwoods. They lived pretty cheaply in a shared place and the area wasn't terribly rough. And the subway is right there, that'll avoid car use.

I lived on Queen West for a year. It was a good hood for seeing a lot of music and hanging out at fun places, and the streetcar service is pretty good, but I think there are other unsung neighbourhoods in the city.

The streetcar service along St. Clair is being improved, I've considered the neighbourhood west of St. Clair West station. Bloor West too, for sure, High Park and west of there.

    Good luck man

  5. I hate googling myself.

Oh man Shain, I almost don't want to subject you to the ridicule:

I am 17 and I have brown hair and brown eyes. I weigh about 160 pounds. I am not tall, I'm only about 5'7. I play drums and goalie in hockey. I am in a band, but we don't have a name yet. If you have a cool one, please submit it to me.
