I think if I had put a "g" at the end, it would have been censored.
I'm sure you guys know that my headline for this post is in reference to what Frost said to Danton over the prison phone.. "If this goes to court, we're fuckin' done".

I would never throw things at a concert. I caught a frisbee in the head at a Rush show back in the 80s. It really hurt. It was a high-quality frisbee too, so I kept it.
As far as Nickelback goes, I wouldn't go to their show, but if I did I wouldn't throw anything. I did see them at Zaphod's in 1999 along with maybe 30 other people, but that was before it was cool to hate them.

Yeah, I was thinking that too... though depth in the playoffs factor comes into play... they're all under contract this year atleast... and you can't ice draft picks.... until they're drafted and become more than just a place in line. And by the sounds of the injury... he'll be out until the month before the playoffs past the trade deadline.
That long eh? Then they better keep him for the playoffs... trade him in the off-season.

If Bonchenski keeps up the fine play, I can see Havlat getting traded for some draft choices when he returns from his injury.
As much as I like Havlat (he's an exciting player) he's gotta go. Too prone to injury and suspension.

Good. Now Lemieux has to do the right thing and make way for some young guns.
Both Yzerman and Lemieux have had their time on the world hockey stage, time to pass the torch.

Can someone explain to me what the big deal about having a "Family Doctor" is?
You'll know the answer to this question when you're in your 40s and have a family.
It sounds like the clinic is right for your situation.

Canadian tour that starts in Prince George, B.C., on Jan. 17, and ends in Ottawa on Feb. 18.
Bring your rocks! Let's not be outdone by the Portuguese.

I'm thinking the Nickelback boys don't know the difference.
True!

At least it wasn't bottles' date=' rocks and bricks. Just ask Nickelback. I doubt if they'll ever play Spain again.

I'm moving to Spain!
That was Portugal , not Spain.

HA! This just came to our office.Harper Thinks Middle Income People Earn $90,000
Conservative leader Stephen Harper today told the media:
"I tend to think of you know people up to 80 to 90 thousand dollars as being middle income in this day and age . I don't think most people would consider $70,000 to be high income." (Stephen Harper, December 5, 2005)
Fact:
The average adult wage in Canada is just under $32,000, according to Statistics Canada.
And the average household income at $64,900, well below Harper's $90,000 definition of what it means to be "middle income in this day and age."
We now understand why Harper's recent policy announcements on the GST and child care favour higher income Canadians.
He actually thinks he's aiming at the middle!
I'd like to see the quote in its original context. Where was it from?

I saw Johnny in 1998 at the Ottawa bluesfest and the roadies were practically propping him up from behind. I caught him at Barrymore's in 1987 and that was an awesome (although short) show.

tempting... still keeping fingers crossed for some Ontario dates.
Jan. 23rd is a Monday.

I'm sure glad there will be no strike! However I think you drivers should continue to wear your street clothes on the job. Lookin' good!

You're missing a very pretty snowfall back home!

I like the disco biscuits, but have only seen them once.

They also played Jimi's "3rd Stone from the Sun" in the second set.
Really? I didn't catch that at all. It must have been a tease in one of the longer jams' date=' maybe Mule?[/quote']
It was during "Mule".
Just listening to my recording of the show. This is the first show I've ever recorded. I've got a new Sony minidisc recorder. Pretty good sound, but next time I will invest in a proper mike stand (as opposed to having the microphone sticking out of my pocket) and won't do any talking during the show.

I know you've all heard this one before...
On my way out to the Sens/LA game last night, tuned into the pre-game show on the radio. One of the announcers was saying how the 2nd and 3rd lines have to step up their game: "The Fishers, the Smolinskis, the Schaefers have to put more pucks in the net".
That's so stupid.
Now, if you were talking about the Canucks, you could say "The Sedins have to play better". That would be OK. Or, the Sharks: "The Thorntons played well last night".
-
Yeah! That awesome when they did that Pearl Jam tune. Surprised me, have they every done that song before? Or any Pearl Jam for that matter? I was also surprised with the amount of beatles songs they played, the version of "Tomorrow Never Knows" in the first set was amazing. They also played Jimi's "3rd Stone from the Sun" in the second set.

Just got back to the Ottawa after the trip to see the Mule last night. I loved the show too! And, for those who thought the crowd was lame, you were obviously NOT near my brothers and friends!

Thanks for the excellent post MarcO.
Reminds me that Santa has to replace my scratchy Beatles records with CDs.
