Hmmmm that looks very good! This is the first time I have heard of CDs that you can print onto directly. I think I will get me some of those CDs and that printer. Can't go wrong for under a c-note!

GWB sound bite on the news last night:
"Don't buy gas if you don't need it".
Let's think about this for a moment:
People who don't need gas are those who don't have a car, or those who have close to a full tank.
People who do need gas are those driving around with a quarter tank or less.
It's been that way since the invention of the automobile!
GWB's profound proclamation does nothing to reduce consumption.
Carolyn Parrish was right.

Don't buy any weed in Washington Square Park, like the guy in Broken Social Scene.

....October is shaping up VERY nicely for Ottawa. .....
"Rocktober"

Missed it last night on TV (on too late) but I have seen that movie a few times, including its theatre run back in the early 80s!
Best to watch it nice and toasted.

They couldn't make it a week earlier, eh?
I'm leaving for a trip to France on the 22nd.
Bummer.
Great use of links in your post Brad!

In the August issue of Relix, in the "Coming up in our September issue" section, it lists "Johnny Swift Band"!
I'm glad it was a typo!

My season tickets for the Sens work out to $56/game - that's for two tickets and a parking pass for each game. But my seats are in the very last row.
An individual ticket for a seat in the 10th row will be sold for about $125 this year (extra if they are playing the Leafs or Habs!)

From the Ottawa Senators website - looks like they're going to cash in already by selling Heatley jerseys!
**********************
HEATLEY LOOKING TO MEET FANS TODAY
Newest Senator at the Corel Centre from 5 to 6 p.m.
Ottawa Senators right-winger Dany Heatley will be ready to meet hockey fans today from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Corel Centre’s Gate 1 plaza. Heatley’s new teammates, Martin Havlat, Brian Pothier, Mike Fisher, Jason Spezza and Chris Phillips will also make appearances starting at 4 p.m. Heatley, who will be introduced today to the media at a 3 p.m. news conference, will also join Gord Wilson on The Team 1200 Radio’s afternoon show from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., broadcasting from the Corel Centre plaza.
Fans coming to the Corel Centre will also receive the new Senators This Is My Team window clings and have the opportunity to sign the Senators’ This Is Hockey Country flag. Sensations, the Senators store at the Corel Centre, will also be on site with a number of Heatley jerseys and ready to take orders.

Yeah, that's been going on for a few seasons now, but this season they jacked up the premium on Leafs tickets to 30% - I think it used to be 20%.
They used to have a 10% premium on Colorado games as well.

Geez, I wish I had bought some Google shares!
-
Funny... if Microsoft were to come out with new stuff like this, everyone would be like "invasion of privacy" or "big brother" or "Microsoft sucks".
Google does it, and everyone's all "Google rocks" and "I wish I had bought some of their stock".

As a Sens fan, I think this will turn out to be a good thing for the team. Heatley is already awesome, but he will get a lot better. And the Senators need some more Canadian blood on the team.
Hossa is awesome too and will get even better, but I think this will pan out better for the Senators.
My ticket package includes the game against Atlanta on Feb 9th!
-
Does anyone know what the Sen's total salary will be that Hossa is going to get $5 mil this coming season?
Seems to me, it's significantly higher than it was in 2003-2004.
If so, the lockout solved nothing.
-
You're damn right he better produce! Especially in the playoffs.
I'm guessing Hossa would have got a bit less in in arbitration, and only a 1-year deal. Muckler obviously wants to keep him happy.
On a related note, I just mailed in the form for my Sens tickets. Half-season package, in the nosebleeds.

So I have to ask. What else is on this pizza with gravy? Is it a regular slice of pizza with toppings and gravy on top? Or do they soak the dough in gravy?Regular slice, gravy poured over top of it.

What's happened to Dan's career, if it's come to that for the poor lad?
His career is doing just fine... he's the man behind House of Blues productions.

It's really easy to write about food.
Writing about food is like eating about architecture.

Us Ottawa folks just got home! Stoned Phillis and Basher, thanks for hosting the great pre-show BBQ party, and the fantastic corn (thanks for the recipe!) It certainly was nice to meet you guys and everyone else. Must lie on couch now.

That didn't work for George H.W. Bush!
