I'm back in Ottawa for a little bit, and went to the dress rehearsal this afternoon. William Shatner, Nickelback, and Classified in a near-empty arena on a Sunday afternoon. It was odd.

Fuck. What a legend. A full life, but...fuck.

I remember watching Much Music in high school (shut up) and Strombo was on talking about a spat Courtney Love was having with Krist and Dave about the legacy of Nirvana's music. Strombo put a picture up of Nirvana and said something to the effect of "Now, let's see who in this argument was a member of Nirvana. There's Dave Grohl, there's Krist Novoselic. Huh...I don't see Courtney Love anywhere in this picture." I LOL'd.

Is Death Cake nero without a bass player or Envelope 3 with a drummer? Whoa.

The KY is funny and the "no brown M&Ms" is ridiculous, although I've heard it suggested that that was a litmus test for how closely the promoter paid attention to the rider. Either way, though, that's a pretty standard rider and doesn't seem to be over-the-top in its demands. Maybe it was 30 years ago, though. I'm sure most of us have seen it, but The Smoking Gun's Backstage Archive has some great riders going back decades.

Any rumours as to lineup? Mule? Tedeschi/Trucks?
