I don't think it's the exact same thing. I think Reed is good... Oka bad. Getting rid of talent because you have talent waiting in the wings is one thing... getting a chance to play because a FA signing is a flop is another (And doesn't look great on JP, but not that bad either cause he did have McGown and Marcum show up). Bottom line however is with the teams recent play, and how good the potential of the pitching staff is, JP has done enough to stick it out for another off-season.

I still can't believe the Giants won the superbowl. Being a wild card, and winning all on the road, and defeating an 18-0 team in the final minutes... that's pretty much the best story line outside of 19-0, with a million td passes, ala Joe Montana's for the Sega Genesis.

You never know in the NFL... Maybe the Raiders did something right in the draft... I'll be watching the Jets this year I guess as well... don't want to see Favre fail per se... I just hope as far as the Packers are concerned, they made the right decision. Good luck guys!
