  1. I'm on the fence. Like Badams said he was never dominate, but 3 Cups, a Conn Smythe and a Calder is probably enough hardware to get him in.
  2. Agreed. I was quoting the (ridiculous) Wild commentator in the highlights.
  3. Funny stuff. Bonk's been one the top defensive centers in the league for 10 years and Booche thinks he just "learned how to play hockey" because he's on the Habs now.
  4. What do you think? He won three Stanley Cups with three different teams - Calgary (1989), Dallas (1999) and New Jersey (2003). 1987-88 Calder Trophy (scored 51 goals as a rookie) 1994-95 King Clancy Trophy 1998-99 Conn Smythe Trophy
  5. Check this link, click on Hawks vs Wild, watch highlights. http://www.nhl.com/nhl/app?service=page&page=Video "Take that Denis Savard!"
  6. Did anybody else see the Wild's Pierre-Marc Bouchard's shootout goal against Savard's Blackhawks last night? Somebody please YouTube that beauty for us!
  7. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the MMJ. But I've heard much better bootlegs - performance wise, not sound quality wise - than what was officially released.
  8. Right now I'm enjoying: The Hold Steady - Boys and Girls in America Lose Fur - Born Again in the USA Drive By Truckers - Blessing and a Curse M. Ward - Post War Live album of the year - The Sadies: In Concert Vol. 1 Honourable mentions to Built to Spill, Cat Power, Neko... I'm sure I've forgotten all kinds of stuff... we've still got a couple weeks to finalize year-end lists, don't we? As an aside, a few of people's favs on here I'd put in my most disappointing of the year list. Including: MMJ - Okonokos (why did they release a live album where Jim James' voice is out of key on every song?) Akron/Family - Meek Warrior (boring follow-up to the glorious Angels of Light split) Decemberists - Crane Wife (the epic prog-rock songs are great, the rest is filler) Bonny "Prince" Billy - The Letting Go (tres boring)
  9. I've heard bits and pieces of it, I'm impressed too. There's a couple tracks from the second disc that are just fantastic, fantastic songs. And I'm far from being even a casual fan, I generally despise them.
  10. Doc's Reprise Dave Rahmer Thursday Dec. 7 Doc Dylan's 10pm No cover Last minute cancellation, I've been called off the bench to pinch hit.
  11. What POG said! Have a great one Brad.
  12. Goal of the year Kaigorodov who? Vermette's looking like he was born to be the 2nd line centre.
  13. The underdog coming from behind and winning makes for great saturday afternoon TV. It does not necessarily make for choosing the best leader.
  14. I believe the last time I saw them was at the Ottawa Congress Centre in 2002 (2003?).
  15. And actually, there were more new albums posted, the best of which have already been removed from his website: Sad Dracula - Fasterpiece Sad Dracula - Warren Peace Sad Dracula - Let It B-Minus
  16. Jealous. I haven't seen these guys in years, I despise 'tribute' bands, and I'm not even the hugest Genesis fan around. But the Musical Box are an absolute must see in my books.
  17. If you do end up taking the Divorcees gig, I look forward to having you in Moncton. Now that you've got the Marco stamp of approval, I think we'll get along just fine.
  18. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=186551&hubname= The Penguins put John Leclair on waivers this afternoon. I think the Habs should pick him up to try and correct their earlier mistake (see Chelios for Savard).
  19. I have no idea what the rest of them are so happy about. This place blows! And what the hell is a "relative happiness index" anyhow? ::cue smart-ass repsonse from BradM ::
  20. Happiness poll finds bliss in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia ranks dead last on nationwide survey on satisfaction Funny stuff here. NB, Newfoundland and PEI rank 1,2,3 while Nova Scotia finishes 10th out of 10.
  21. This kind of idiocy is reserved for the Habs and Leaf threads. Get the hell out of ours! As to your trade proposal, I've got a half eaten cup of yogurt and I'm sure Rubberdinghy will throw in a used Shaun Van Allen story if you will keep Roller on your team.
  22. The other problem is there are no teams looking for a back-up goalie right now (Phoenix was and they took the cheapest option available). There are a few teams who'd like to upgrade their starter, so unless Aeby turns it around quickly there won't be much interest until closer to trade deadline when his price is discounted.
