Right now Gagne is the poster-child for why you don't take 17 year olds to the World Jrs. But you're right - he'll probably tear it up for Canada the next two years. I'm very impressed with what I saw of Pat Kane.

Canada's D certainly is carrying the load. Toews has been incredible, picking up the slack from the Downie line. Sam Gagne has to be the disappointment of the tourny for Canada so far. After the first game he's been rarely used at even strength, useless on the PP and he's taken untimely penalties. I have to think that Claude Giroux or Angelo Esposito could have helped our offensively challenged forward group.

Comrie with 2 assists in his first game, looked great out there. Prove me wrong about you, Mike!

Much better pick-up than Nedved would have been. Nedved would have been a stop-gap for the injuries for a few weeks, but Comrie has a chance to contribute on a healthy Sens club. And it doesn't matter what kind of player Kaigorodov develops into - bridges were burned, he was NEVER going to play in the Sens organization again. So they gave up nothing. Personally I think Mike Comrie is a hack. Major league talent with questionable work ethic and attitude (does this remind anyone of the Arnason acquisition?). Obviously I'm not the only one who feels this way, as he joins his 5th team in 6 seasons.

Best tournament of the year, game on! Early thoughts on team USA - some great individual talent, not much in the way of team play. Erik Johnson looks incredible lugging the puck from end-to-end, but his game is a MESS. Like Pierre McGuire keeps pointing out, he's trying to do too much by himself and making tons of mistakes.

Yes nylon strings. One of the tuning pegs needs repair so its not exactly playable right now. Not sure if I'll tune it like a ukulele, guitar or banjo... probably uke though.
