  1. At times yes. But overall I think his positioning and rebound control is still very shaky.
  2. Nope. If he was to get picked up on his way down, his new team takes the whole salary. He'd also have to clear waivers if he was called back up, that's when the two team's split the salary and cap space. Don't kid yourself, the chances are slim that any team takes him even at half his salary. He couldn't make the top 6 in either Dallas or Mtl this year.

    BEER!!

No, no, no. But I'm sure there'll be room in the car for more than just what I buy myself. (We're planning to be in Kingston by late on the 27th. See yous there.)
  4. I'm excited about the re-appearance of Chasing Rabbits. That song is way too good to be shelved.

    BEER!!

It is very close to good ol' No. 9 (one of my fav's too). Unfortunately NBLC doesn't stock the McAuslan Apricot Wheat either. If anybody is looking for Xmas gift ideas for their favourite New Brunswicker, please send some tasty micro-brews... And more BEER talk please!
  6. I loved Aebischer's comment "It wasn't me that took the penalties" after allowing 4 goals in 3 straight games. Way to endear yourself to your teammates, buddy!
  7. Just today? That's every day for most of us.
  8. One for MarcO - Magical Mystery Tours: My Life With the Beatles, by Tony Bramwell, who was a boyhood friend of George, he was underage when the fab four got started, so he carried George's guitar to get in and he went on to be one of Brian Epstein's first employees. Not too gossipy overall, the major insights being into some of the horrible business deals Epstein made, the not-so-major insights being that they all hated Yoko from the start. I haven't seen any talk of this book on this site (I know Booche has a copy too), but it got a very favourable review in the Globe & Mail a year and half or so ago.

    BEER!!

St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout is my favourite beer of the moment. McAuslan is one of the few micro's that NB Liquor stocks (hell, we don't even get a full line of Propeller or Garrison from Nova Scotia here). They have St. Ambroise on tap at Doc Dylan's, where I play my regular solo gig.
  10. Great news, congrats and all the best Bob!
  11. Bullmoose Music - Portland, ME highly recommended
  12. I have seen the future. It involves Tony Romo and me winning my fantasy football pool.
  13. Not that I'm defending Houle (he wouldn't know a good prospect from his asshole if a french canadian kid was standing nearby), but 1999 was a weak draft class overall. 1997 was very top heavy, if you missed on your first selection you probably didn't get anything out of it.
