Must Stash Hat and Toadhouse are two bands to add to the list that are keeping the jam alive in Ontario and doing it very well and of course a couple jamgrass bands, The Blurry Pickers (who I believe have a new album recorded) and 2013 Delfest bluegrass band comp. winners The Unseen Strangers.
It's really been 8 years since the 1st Jamland. Holy Crap time flies. I guess that makes sense though, it's been going on for pretty much as long as Jackson has been alive. Can't wait to get back there. Too bad there wasn't some nice warm cabins out there to do a winter fest, that would be fun. The fire there gets hot enough that it could probably melt Stephen Harper's heart.
Windshield is a very pop sounding song (in a good way). I think it's a song that really shows their growth and pushing it to the next level. They're songwriting is as solid as it gets. I absolutely love this band. Been listening to If Sorrow Swims on repeat for a month now. I saw a thread on facebook the other day where there fans were trying to decide what to name themselves (myself too I guess but I didn't participate in the convo). "Campers" seemed to be the most popular choice.
I no longer really have FOMO disease, having resigned myself to the family life, but I can't effing believe I have to miss this for work!!! Argh! Hey, if that poster is on a tshirt, can somebody buy it for me? we'll catch up eventually. Thanks.
