  1. There's some pretty great sounding recordings out there using the R-09. Most are soundboards and or use external mics. I found these shows that just use the R-09 (I think anyway): Caution Jam January 13, 2007 Rancho Relaxo Jackie Greene and Band 2006-08-25 Devry Campus near Chicago They don't sound bad at all. Definatley better recording with better mics, but they sure sound ok on it's own.
  2. I don't think it was racist. It was what it was, sometimes you just have to call it like it is.
  3. Thanks again brad, your search skills are excellent to say the least. There's even a Fat Cats show in that list. It's a soundboard, I'll dig around to see if I can find one using the built in mics.
  4. Thanks Brad, looks like I'll look into the Edirol R-09 a little closer. Do you know of any recordings using the R-09?
  5. The coverage is a bit overblown. I think we can all agree 2-5 years old is WAY to young to smoke pot, but at least they weren't passing a crack pipe to them. The media is portraying the story in the old Reefer Madness vein/train of thought.
  6. Any of you tapers have any experience with this product? H4 Handy Recorder I'd like to find some recordings made with this using the built in MICs, to get an idea of how good it is. Maybe some recordings using external mics also. I'd really like to get into taping (shows, jams and myself)and this seems like a fairly easy way to get into it. The built in 4 track seems pretty cool.
  7. perhaps with all this suing going on some new precedants will be established.
  8. CBC did a story about Coffee Time last week. Scary stuff.
  9. couldn't Zappa be considered somewhat of a comedian?
  10. lost today, again. It's easier to win at Coffee Time, just throw the coffee away.
  11. somewhere between 2 and 5. blow and e between 6 and 8 then?
  12. what is a good age to start smoking pot anyway? I have friends that started when they were around 7 (so they say). I think I was 14 or 15 when I did my first oil hot knife. I know a guy who started snorting Coke when he was 11.

  17. Thanks for this. That bass player, with the homemade bass was pretty sweet.
  18. That's pretty cool, looks like the symbol for infinity.
  19. Cully, welcome to my world brother. Working out of town can be very difficult at times being away from a live music scence. All I get up here is country music Karoke on Wednesday nights. Although that one old guy that rapped "Because I got high," was pretty fuggin funnny, however doesn't exactly quench the thirst for a real band. Thank God I got a chance to see the Caution Jam show Saturday night or else I may have gone seriously crazy.
  20. Thanks for letting this go Alan. My fingers are killing me but I love it.
