  1. 5 bucks an hour to my pension and I work a lot of hours! RRSP would be a waste for someone like me because I'd get taxed like a mofro when it'd be time to collect. That being said a lot of group pension plans have taken a hit over last few years. The government has been enforcing strict solvency rules for group pensions due to some pension plans going broke in the country. The problem is, the troubled pension plans (ie Stelco) are usually single employer pension plans, whereas mine is a Multiple Employee Pension Plan (a MEPP). I can easily have 5 or 6 employers a year. The chance of 5 or 6 companies going broke (especially in today's construction boom)is pretty slim, however the gov has decided to categorize my plan (and all other MEPP's) the same as single employer plans. So my pay back has dropped from 3% to 1.5% and they have pushed back my retirement date three years.
  2. same night as Grand Theft Bus? WTF? They're also both playing Kingston on Thursday. That's shitty.
  3. Queen East is starting to burgeon. Lots of galleries opening, really nice restaurants, close to the beaches and lots of bike trails. It only takes about ten minutes to bike downtown. It can be slightly sketchy at times, but hey it is Toronto, it can be sketchy anywhere.
  4. shhhhh! you're not supposed to tell everyone that. lol. I like that it's a family atmosphere
  5. I would guess because The Opera House doesn't have the best rep for allowing you to have fun. Except BNB was fuggin awesome. The sound should be good.
  6. I don't mean to be rude, but try the "quote this post" button. It would prolly make things easier for all involved.
  7. Imagine being in the audience and having to watch the performer just walk around singing to a camera in his face, that he was holding. Bad. Stupid.
  8. What was up with Tony Bennet thanking "Target, the best sponser ever?" I wonder how much they gave him to say that.
  9. but we never stop loving you
  10. Good luck Shain. Now let's get down to business, will you sign me? I want to make a drum n' harmonica album.

  12. when's the Port Elgin calender going to be ready? Perhaps the Owen Sound shows can be put in there too.
  13. "This is the first thing I've eaten all week." *ahem*
  14. Happy BDay Jay. Did you get those disks? We'll call them a birthday gift. Had I known I would have wrapped them better.
  15. That's awesome guys, you really deserve it. I think the Sum Sums have been the band I've seen the most over the last few years so it's really great to hear this news. Good Luck!
  16. The Skybar is sweet. When I do go to the guv, that's the most chill atmosphere of the place, but I agree with Baj, fill it with hippies and a live band would be pretty awesome.
  17. welcome, and Baj is a good guy, I don't care what everybody else says.
  18. Get a trade, there is SO much work right now in the trades. It's like a big money tree out there where you can freely pick the fruits of labour. Woman do make the best welders. Boilermaker, Pipefitter, Ironworker (no don't do that),, electrician, carpenter, millwright, etc. They're all good (except ironworkers)
  19. uhm, I don't think I want to see you roll a cigar StoneMtn, but ahh, [color:purple]thanks for the imagery
  20. I usually keep about 40 shows seeding on Azereus, then when they reach a somewhat acceptable share ratio/ or have seeded a fairly long time, I take them off, convert them to MP3. I wish I didn't have to, but space constraints and or having too many CD's requires this. I try to listen to everything once or twice in lossless before converting. I NEED an Ipod, I have a car stereo that it'll hook up to and I spend a lot of time in my car, I'd love to give away all my CD's. As far as buying music, usually buy CD's at shows or when in music stores, I usually buy DVD's instead of CD's.
