  1. my wife just shook her head at me, thanks for getting me in trouble.
  2. That's awesome, I've been waiting a long time for this. Thanks!!
  3. I'll put some on CD tomorrow and make sure it gets to you. I have a remastered edition of burnin' which came with a bonus CD, The Wailers live in Leeds (Nov 73), that is absolutley brilliant. I have their first American performance, I have the Wailers last performance. I have a show in Zimbabwe that ended with riots five songs in (and I have the make up show a few days later). The list goes on. I know Bob was the main driving force, but I try to refer to them as The Wailers, rather than Bob Marley. You can really hear in their live performances the family atmosphere of The Wailers.
  4. Jay, I have quite a bit of live Marley, if you're interested I can rip you off a few shows for your research. Let me know I'm only in town a couple of days.
  5. I was trying to buy a beer for him from across the bar and he wouldn't open his eyes to place his order. I guess he kind of got cut off after that. Sorry about that brother. BTW: the sound in that bar is REALLY good. I can't wait to see another show there in the future. Thanks also to "That Place" for the Friday night. Couldn't make it Sat night, I was passing out hugging my guitar back at the hotel, so I figured I better get some sleep. We'll finish that conversation next time Tungsten.
  6. Dexter! Nothing like a show with lots of chopped up body parts.
  7. Every time I think of these shows for the next while, will bring a smile to my face. Sara and I (and the rest of our gang) had a unbelievable good time. It was a real pleasure to share the dance floor with so many of you fine folks. The O-Town Rocks and the people are so very friendly. The band was amazing, especially on Saturday night. They seemed to be having as much fun on stage as we were dancing. Everybody that I finally met from the board up there, it was nice to meet you and those that I didn't get a chance to talk to, next time. We'll see you all again. Now I have to get my ass back up to Port Elgin and rejoin the working world.
  8. That one's been out for a while. While I respect the fact you like it, I think it is a bloody awful CD. Just horrible.
  9. Keith IS made of Stone. (in so many ways)
  10. As opposed to an unconcious decision?
  11. yeah, the best to Wilson also. Have a good one. Mark W doesn't come on this board does he? Anyway, for those that are going, try to get him to sing the song he sang at the Campfire Jam at Loose Yer Shoes. I don't remeber the name of it, something about wine or wine fields or something. Fuckin awesome song.
  12. And listen to yourself drawl and play the drunken air guitar. Now you're talkin!
  13. Not that this has so much to do with the question; but it reminds me of driving from Cape Breton to Halifax in 92 or 93 ish to see the Hip. We had them blasting the whole way, took a bunch of LSD, got pulled over for speeding (I wasn't driving, too high) by one of those airplane patrols and missing a chance to play ice hockey with the band because my buddy forgot to call his buddy.
  14. I don't mind so much listening to the band on the way to the show, after the show however is a different story. Sometimes listening to the band before hand helps (me) build up. That being said, it's the Beach Boys all the way to Ottawa!!!
  15. bump. People space going to be replaced by a guitar soon, so if anyone has a guitar that needs a ride up...
  16. That's a great story, perhaps it should be made into song.
  17. That was a good one. What's going on with Escalate, the one set/song wonders? They were REALLY good that night and I've heard nothing of them again.
  18. I guess I'm a few days behind, but good luck Ari, safe travels.
  19. Sorry so late on this, some last minute re arranging has freed up some space. I have room for 1 or 2 light packers, if you need a ride from Toronto. Leaving aprox 1:00PM from Queen and Pape.

    NERO FRIDAY

Depends where you're going, take Brock Road is probaby the easiest. That takes you to the east end of Pickering. If you need directions for the west end (ie go station) I can give you those directions too but they're a little trickier.
  21. Mark, my brother, have a great show and a happy birthday. We'll be thinkin of you.
  22. It's too bad, I only went back a few times after they ousted Derek. He was the one with all the vision in that place. I understand he has opened a new club/bar or something on Richmond St. I'll have to find out what the dealeeo is on it.
  23. It's not our fault, they were your bookmarks. geez.
