  1. Yeah Youtube' date=' soundcloud etc I've seen. Some of the songs from the next album (Below my feet, Lover's eyes for example) have been played during this summer tour. They were also writing during the tour and pulling a few of those out here and there.

BTW the "new untitled song" is called 'Little Lion Man'

I was more looking for live recordings I could download (no mp3s) to listen to.[/quote']

That all sounds like new material to me, which is what i thought we were talking about. There aren't many recordings of these songs that aren't MP3 or youtube yet, too new I suppose. I don't get your BTW either, I didn't post Little Lion Man in my links above.

Strange, I clicked the "new song" link and it first took me to

but now it doesn't. Oh well. Doesn't matter. As for new material - I didn't dispute that, I just mentioned I had checked out the youtube (upped in feb) and soundcloud stuff already.

Still I was more looking for some other recordings aside from the ones I listed, as your comment didn't mention new material, only "other material", hence my asking. My mistake.

That new song link is 'Lover's Eyes' after I gave it a listen.

  3. Here's a article from VT about Phish this show.

Be warned, if your a hyper-sensitive Phish fan don't bother reading. lol

Once this made it to PT, they attacked her FB page with such articulate comments like this:

    "Bob LeClair

your mother sucks cocks in hell."

    Coco Hanna

    FUCK YOUR FACE

It appears her FB may have been deactivated, I imagine due to the extreme harassment she got.

  4. My interest hasn't swayed, in fact with these show announcements, it caused me to dig deeper and find some nice surprises.

Care to share some of these 'nice surprises'?

I have a few recordings, although I lent my HDD to a friend so I can't check which ones I kept. I know I didn't keep the DVDs

  5. Awesome. Still haven't heard back from the guy about the user group deal, I think he may be on holidays from the sounds of it. But one of the other mods I emailed thinks they did what you were thinking you may have to do about making a new group for existing members then creating a group for new users, but he couldn't confirm. And it was a vBulletin board too.

  6. Is Curb coming back again? Or was that the season series finale?

No official word yet as far as I know. But HBO are "hopeful" Larry will sign on for a 9th. Apparently this is the first time he hasn't declared "I don't want to do this again" after finishing a season. Not too mention that this season has received the highest ratings to date for the show, with each episode getting more ratings the the previous.

  7. Took a trip out to Grand River Brewery again last night, picked up some of these. Very tasty for an American style Pale Ale (I prefer English IPAs), even at 4.5%.

This guy explains it better then I.

We were told that these will be in soon, and will be available at the LCBO.

I love this time of year, fall always brings the best tasting seasons.

  8. I saw Ladies and Gentlemen: The Rolling Stones in the theater about a year ago. It started off with a current day Mick Jagger interview that was so awkward and out-of-place that for several minutes I just assumed the projectionist had accidentally put in the special features disc.

I have two different boots labeled 'Ladies and Gentlemen: The Rolling Stones', but I don't believe I have ever seen the official release oddly enough.

As for CS blues, I didn't have much trouble watching it as I had read all about that tour and the craziness previous to watching the film, so I wasn't at surprised by anything I saw. The bonus footage on the second DVD is pretty cool too: Saville Theatre 1969, Australian Tour Documentary 1973, 72 Promo videos, David Frost Show 1969, Mick And Biancas Wedding and a handful of unreleased clips from different years.

One thing for sure, I always put that DVD back on the self backwards (title side inward), some folks assume it's not a music video. loljb.gif

Another great boot to watch for is Knebworth Fair, Knebworth Park, Stevenage, Hertfordshire, UK 76.

  9. I really only frequent (near daily) two message boards, this one and GOTV. I joined both the same day back in 2002. I guess if this one wasn't here I would be on vibes instead, although I prefer this one obviously. Canadians, a lot of great friends, acquaintances and the absence of American politics.

Cheers Mike, for everything you have done and continue to do here and for community. Simply put, you kick ass my friend. Thank you.

Perhaps it's time for another appreciation gala like the one a few years back at the lanc in KW.

  10. Peripheral question : On the Anthem To Beauty documentary, there is video footage of the Dead playing Truckin', you can see Pigpen in the footage but I distinctly hear piano in the mix, which would put it around this time. Anyone know specifically where this footage came from?

  11. Well, if it makes things easier to clean up, feel free to delete any of the threads I've made in any of the forums that are being spammed.

It really looks like they are hitting the RSS feed forums though, I assume to hit those who subscribe. I dropped the feeds the other day due to the incredible amount of spam. For example, my William Elliott Whitmore video thread has been spammed about 20x today alone.

Perhaps you could make a new user status and forum where new people have to introduce themselves before having posting access to the rest of the site. If they post something that isn't spam and appear legit, then they could be approved by a mod and upgraded to a normal status which allows posting in all the forums.

Just add a locked topic which explains that due to spamming this is the new requirement.

If they go ahead and spam after that, delete them. At the minimum it may help quell the amount of spam to some degree and at least keep it in one spot, which would make it easier to clean up as well.

  12. Brewing a batch of American Brown Ale with bourbon this Saturday. Heres the recipe!

    http://hbd.org/cgi-bin/recipator/recipator?group=9&item=9686

    lb. American 2-row

    2 oz. Special Roast

    12 oz. American crystal 80L

    8 oz. American chocolate

    7 oz. Flaked oats

    1 oz. Flaked barley

    1 oz. Honey Malt

    1 lb. Wildflower Honey

    Bourbon

    .5 oz. Nugget (12.5% AA, 60 min.)

    .5 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 60 min.)

    .5 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 30 min.)

.5 oz. Mt. Hood (4.5% AA, 15 min.)

That sounds tasty. Lets us know how it turns out.

Sadly, my plans to brew fell apart this year since my partner had serious basement issues in his 150 year old farm house and had to clear it all out so he could get people in there to fix it. We're hoping to get things going over the winter though. I imagine another batch of cherry stout will be brewed first.
