Thanks Booche, I just love the game, hence why I never really shit-talk, cry about hits/penalties or whine about the refs/media and always try my hardest to remain neutral when discussing the games. Good hockey, no matter what team, is good hockey & that's what I enjoy the most. I'm a hockey fan first and a Bruins fan second.
I grew up watching the Bruins, as well, the Habs & Leafs. I remember my Dad taking me to Buffalo & Toronto when they would be playing Boston. My first game was in 77 against Toronto at MLG, I still have the leafs flag & program (even got King Clancy & Harold Ballard's autographs!) somewhere. Hell, even my little bro was named after a Bruin (Brad Park), so the black & gold was always our first team. I was too young to remember the last two cups (70 & 72) they won, so it does feel pretty damn good to finally be able to watch my team hoist the cup.
This is the first time I have ever just skipped a concert I had tickets for (DBT in Toronto). I miracled a couple friends with the tickets when I realized the show was the same night as game 7. No way I was missing it, win or lose I was pumped to see it all go down. No regrets.
As for the hangover, not today. I had too much going on this morning to really get into the booze last night, threw back maybe 5 beers total and was sleeping by 1am. Tonight howvere, I will be sporting my Bruins hat and jersey at DBT in Waterloo and will be celebrating proper.
Fuckin' eh. Bruins!

I have a Boston Jersey (cheap knock-off) with that on the front. Thanks for posting it though, I didn't have a digital of it yet.
j/k Kev, I'm supporting the Bs too.
[color:#CCCCCC]Sorry Esau!
Why be sorry, I'm not a Vancouver fan.

Should of had a beer.

having no other option than TM was not cool.
I agree. I called it quits with TM a few years ago and haven't bought one from them since (I miss a lot of shows, but fuck TM). We ordered directly from DBT's website. I doubt it's much cheaper then TM when you consider fees, cross-border mailing, exchange etc and they take considerably longer to get in your hands but I simply refuse to buy from TM.

Thanks all.
Just rolled in from a full weekend of debauchery, now it's time to bbq some steaks with brother-in-law. My double vision is taking over so I'm glad he's doin all the grillin'. Ya gotta love the sun, cold beer & remnants of last nights buzz seeping into the days consciousness....

Hell's Angels have had that nickname for decades.

Ha! Made me look. "Big Red Machine" refers to something entirely different around these parts.

They were back using TM by 1995 after the department of justice decided against investigating TM after testimonys from members of PJ and I think, Aerosmith about TM being a monopoly set on destroying all competition.

I was called a "traitor to Canada" the other day at the liqour store while wearing my Boston hat. When I asked who he was rooting for, he says:
"I stopped watching hockey when the last Canadian team was beat out"
All I could do was scratch my head and walk away. Fanboys are hilarious.

A towel has immense psychological value. For some reason, if a strag (strag: non-hitch hiker) discovers that a hitch hiker has his towel with him, he will automatically assume that he is also in possession of a toothbrush, face flannel, soap, tin of biscuits, flask, compass, map, ball of string, gnat spray, wet weather gear, space suit etc., etc. Furthermore, the strag will then happily lend the hitch hiker any of these or a dozen other items that the hitch hiker might accidentally have "lost". What the strag will think is that any man who can hitch the length and breadth of the galaxy, rough it, slum it, struggle against terrible odds, win through, and still knows where his towel is is clearly a man to be reckoned with.

Yeah it's been awhile that's for sure. The 1992-93 season was the last time.

Don't panic. Don't forget your towel.
For those that don't know: Towel Day is an annual celebration on the 25th of May, as a tribute to the late author Douglas Adams (1952-2001). On that day, fans around the universe proudly carry a towel in his honour.
For those that don't understand: I'm sorry.

Right on Kev. I had tickets but when I found out game 7 was the same night I miracle'd a couple friends. I wasn't missing any part of game 7, not even for DBT - no regrets, but I am really looking forward to tonight now. I'll be easy to spot, just look for the Boston jersey, cap & fist in the air.
