  1. Used to be the band leader of Jon-Rae and The River. His new album "Oh, Maria" is what he is touring off of now with a small band and I caught his show tonight at The Casbah in Hamilton. WOW! Since disbanding The River he's left Toronto for B.C. and changed things up a bit. It sounds incredible. By far one of the most soulful, honest voices in recent Canadian music I've ever had the pleasure of hearing perform. If you have the opportunity I highly recommend checking him out. 12 Mar 2009 20:00 The Attic Guelph, Ontario 13 Mar 2009 20:00 the Ford Plant Brantford, Ontario 14 Mar 2009 20:00 Lee’s Palace CMW showcase Toronto, Ontario 14 Mar 2009 20:00 Criminal Records Instore Performance @ 6:00 Toronto, Ontario 19 Mar 2009 20:00 the Cambie Nanaimo, British Columbia 20 Mar 2009 20:00 the fifty fifty arts collective Victoria, British Columbia 3 Apr 2009 20:00 Cornerstone Christian Fellowship (2124 Chambers St at Princess Ave.) w/ Bob Wiseman Victoria, British Columbia 10 Apr 2009 20:00 the Biltmore Vancouver, British Columbia 12 Apr 2009 20:00 the Benvoulin Church Kelowna, British Columbia

  3. I have mad respect for people that can kick. I tried to get my doctor to prescribe me Mandy Moore and he just looked me funny. Never heard of Champix but found cigarette cravings went down a while ago when I was taking Wellbutrin. The side effect of that drug though was fuckin' insanity for me so I kicked it to the curb. I'll have to read up about this Champix when/if I'm ready
  4. NOOOO... they got c-towns... ... AND his woman!!!

  8. I'm really looking forward to this.. Steve is set to release Townes, his highly anticipated follow up to the Grammy Award-winning album Washington Square Serenade, on May 12 via New West Records. The 15-song set is comprised of songs written by Earle's friend and mentor, the late singer-songwriter, Townes Van Zandt. When speaking about Townes, Earle stated, "This may be one of the best records I've ever made." The album features such guests as Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine/The Nightwatchman, Steve's wife and acclaimed singer-songwriter Allison Moorer, Dennis Crouch, Tim O'Brien, Darrel Scott, Shad Cobb and Steve's son, Justin Townes Earle. Steve will be touring in support of Townes with tour dates announced shortly. Townes will also be available as a deluxe two-CD set, as well as double limited edition 180 gram vinyl. You can listen to "Lungs" from the new album today over at http://pitchfork.com/article/news/149570-steve-earle-to-release-townes-van-zandt-tribute-album
  9. and $1million US worth of narcotics
  10. Spoken word would imply there's no music behind it let alone a kick ass alt rock band. Get it together Schwampy!
  11. Did Wayne rip off Peter Gabriel with the bubble or was it the other way around? Anyone know? Maybe Gabriel should get a hate on for Wayne. A lot of major artists are douchebags in person. I'm sure Wayne has his moments and I think he comes off as a fuckin' loser in that interview.
  12. The Hold Steady are rap? I think you injured more than your leg the other week brah.
  13. SPAC would be good, Darien or Toronto would be GREAT!
  14. I'm 90% sure it's c-towns from the board.
