Used to be the band leader of Jon-Rae and The River. His new album "Oh, Maria" is what he is touring off of now with a small band and I caught his show tonight at The Casbah in Hamilton. WOW! Since disbanding The River he's left Toronto for B.C. and changed things up a bit. It sounds incredible. By far one of the most soulful, honest voices in recent Canadian music I've ever had the pleasure of hearing perform. I have mad respect for people that can kick. I tried to get my doctor to prescribe me Mandy Moore and he just looked me funny. Never heard of Champix but found cigarette cravings went down a while ago when I was taking Wellbutrin. The side effect of that drug though was fuckin' insanity for me so I kicked it to the curb. I'll have to read up about this Champix when/if I'm ready

I'm really looking forward to this.. Steve is set to release Townes, his highly anticipated follow up to the Grammy Award-winning album Washington Square Serenade, on May 12 via New West Records. The 15-song set is comprised of songs written by Earle's friend and mentor, the late singer-songwriter, Townes Van Zandt. When speaking about Townes, Earle stated, "This may be one of the best records I've ever made."
