  1. Oh, he's just been MIA for a while now. I'm sure he's busy with work, but I still like to give him a hard time. ;) Calamity and I were sure sad that we didn't have his painting expertise at the fence painting extravaganza.

Are you coming to the city Willy? We sure did miss you and Leanne too! It'd be great to see you. I think I'm hiding out up north this weekend though. I've got to make Thanksgiving dinner for 16 people. Ahhhh, that's a lot of Tofurky! LOL

If you do make it, please tell Mr. Crissinger that I send him a big hug!

  2. Wow Sharon! This certainly does rock. It now makes so much sense that you didn't get that other job seeing as the higher ups probably knew this boss of yours was about to get canned and that you'd be perfect for his position. Yay! I'm so happy for you. :D I sure hope you celebrate in true fashion this weekend (I'm sure you will). All the best being "Director". Man, that's one snazzy title.

  3. Words are as empty and meaningless as I want. Actions speak volumes.

If you don't think that using a derrogative term for a homosexual as an insult speaks volumes about you, you're sorely mistaken.

I understand that you may be more comfortable with the use of this word because you have gay friends. My best friend is gay and between each other we use the word quite a bit. HOWEVER, that is because he is comfortable with me and understands that it is teasing. If he were ever offended by it, we are close enough that he would have no problem telling me. You can't refer to someone as a "fag" online and expect people to understand that you are joking. What if someone came on here using the "N" word? Not cool.

Okay, back to hockey talk! :P

  4. I hear ya PP. Nike certainly is one detestable company. However, I will always give them my old shoes to recycle (see below). ;) Hehehe. Take that Philip Knight! *shakes fist*

At last check there were no drop-off locations in Canada for shoes (Nike or otherwise). Check out this link if you're interested. You can mail them to the states and keep them out of the dump. :)

Drop off old athletic shoes (any brand) at sporting goods stores participating in Nike's Reuse-a-Shoe program, or look for neighborhood collections sponsored by the National Recycling Coalition (NRC) and their community member affiliates. On average, Nike recycles between one and two million pairs of athletic shoes each year. The shoes are taken apart and ground into small pieces which are used for several purposes: weight-room flooring and surfaces for outdoor playing fields, basketball and tennis courts and playgrounds in communities that cannot afford to build them. http://www.nikebiz.com. Call Nike at 503-671-6453.

  5. I've been trying really hard lately to like Prince...

:o You mean you have to try??? You mean Bouche hasn't pressured you to join the fanclub yet??? Oh my. There is work to be done in Osgoode. :P

Prince made good fence paintin' music.

  6. Interesting to me that while Rev. Peterson is proud of his race, he neglects to mention his involvement in the Republican, flag waving camp. This is yet another issue of two sides with two stories. Somewhere in between lay the truth.

I was born a Democrat...but I finally started to examine it for myself and I realized the Democratic platform was an anti-God, anti-values, anti-American platform.

    [color:purple]Doesn't sound biased to me.

    Read the rest here.

  7. Hey Sunshine! I was at Wasaga last week and the water was pretty chilly. Still, it wasn't as warm outside and it wasn't clogged with people peeing in it to keep the temperature up. ;)

I'm hopefully going for one last pool dip this weekend. Yay!

  8. Pink, that flat out sucks. I can't even imagine how pissed off that taper would be.

Okay, so this isn't musically on par with Ween, but the Jack Johnson show a few weeks back felt like a fucking church choir. BRUTAL! I've never been surrounded by so many dimwits in my life.

  9. Have any of you experienced iTunes behaving differently with a Mac and PC when using Limewire? When I used to use my Mac for downloads I could burn whatever I wanted. Now that I'm at work all day I've been downloading on a PC. On the PC I'm not able to move songs downloaded in Limewire to other folders or playlists.

Is there any way around this?

  10. No what's even crazier.....if I could learn to play piano like anybody it'd be 'ersh or Kyle Hollingsworth!

I wonder if 'ersh would be into giving some lessons. ;)

SfC, it's a good thing you didn't hear my piano playing. Eek! That would be grounds to call off a friendship. :P
