  4. Thanks to everybody who posted to this thread and to other threads about Coventry ... I have really enjoyed reading the posts ... it's threads such as this one that really make me appreciate this message board ... people taking lots of time to share their thoughts and feelings in a thoughtful, honest and intelligent manner ...

    Peace, Mark

  5. The Bowie tune was golden! ::

A great night of music in a bar filled with lots of smiling faces and dancing bodies.

I'd just like to say, Dave Hill kicks serious, serious, ass on bass.....fu©k is he good!

    I second that emotion!

And all the best to Blue Quarter as they head East ... they are going to blow some minds at Evolve, playing late at night between DJ's.

    Peace, Mark

  6. Original music over a cover band,....yup

The Fat Cats a cover band??? Yes, they play some covers, but they've got dozens of original songs, and play lots of them at a show. Maybe they're not "original" in the sense that they are an "old school jam rock band", but I'm hard pressed to find a band that has better original songs than the Fatties. At the last Come Together Fest I remember looking back and seeing lots of people dancing and singing along to the Fat Cats while they were playing their own songs.

Don't get me wrong, I love Blue Quarter and think that they are a great band and do what they do very well, but so do the Fat Cats.

    Peace, Mark

  7. A fantastic show, great crowd energy, and yes, the sound where we were (front row of section 201) was perfect. At one point I started to roam around to see if I could find another sweet spot to enjoy the show from and quickly realized that I was lucky enough to be in a super-sweet spot.

There were no lulls in this show ... I walked in just as Jack Straw started and was totally immersed in the show from Just A Little Light all the way through to the end. Every song was a highlight ...

Saw lots of friends and familiar faces, but was definitely in listening and watching mode rather than talking mode before and during the show.

All around a great dead show.

    Peace, Mark

  8. Happy birthday Mike!!!

Thanks for all that you do ... I can't think of anybody who has contributed more to this wonderful community that we all share.

It has been a treat getting to know you over the last 3 years, and I look forward to a friendship that continues to grow and develop.

    Peace, Mark

  9. Schwa ... it's been a treat getting to know you over the last year ... you're a rock-solid dude that likes to laugh and party and that loves live music ... no wonder you are so loved! ::

ive always insisted that kitchener has some of the best people anywhere!

I agree ... many times when I head out to a show in Guelph or Hamilton and I look around, I see a number of great people from KW.

When I first saw this thread I thought "Oh no, don't tell me that Schwa is also moving out of the city!" I'm glad that isn't the case, and hopefully you'll be in this area for a long while to come.

Meagan, Simone, and Marie ... you will all be missed next year when you are gone, but it will make it even sweeter when you come back to visit.

Peace, love and hugs to all of the great people that I have met in KW!

  10. An absolutely, positively, wonderful wedding ... Liana and I had a blast.

I'm sitting here looking at 2 cd's that were given out at the wedding. Both of them include pictures of the Mudcocks, and when I look at the pictures I once again think that Blair and Mud are two of the most beautiful people that I know, and that they are even more beautiful as a couple. The positive energy and love radiates from them in such a big way!

Mud and Blair ... may your lives be filled with the peace, love and happiness that you deserve ...

    Mark
