  1. I think it is fair to say you may not get in even though you are on the guestlist. It happened to me (and others) at The Church at Berkeley for the free My Morning Jacket show. I was on the list and was turned away because the room was full.
  2. thanks Aaron, I'm going to my first Truckers show for FREE
  3. I heard about it. I believe it's a private party that Goodlife Fitness is putting on for their members.

  5. so was Wilco and so was Metric [color:purple]look closely
  6. Jaimoe not sure if you noticed my post in the MOF thread but for the last three shows I have seen at Massey Hall (Wilco, Metric & MOF) I paid $20 a ticket each time. For Metric I was on the floor about 10 rows back. If you go I bet you'll score a $20 ticket no problem.
  7. that's how I felt too. His Masters Voice was incredibly beautiful, but from the looks of past shows setlists they were busting out 3 to 4 song encores. Oh well, after such a great night of music I could only leave with a huge smile on my face.
  8. that was unbelievably beautiful last night. Yim Yames voice is incredible and it filled the room whenever he stepped to the mic. I LOVE M.Ward too. His songs, his guitar playing, his voice. I loved every minute of the show and for half of it I swear all the hair on my arms were standing up and I had goose bumps! the best part of the evening had to be the Dear God (my fave track off the new album) and then they went into a ROCKIN' Vincent O'Brien (my fave M.Ward song). That's the 3rd show in a row at Massey Hall that I have paid $20 and scored a great seat to see a wicked good band Thanks Monsters
  9. awesome I just got home from work and my Deadopoly is here waiting for me grateful dead night at my new studio...soon !
  10. hell ya...tonight folks! looking forward to some great tunes by some seriously talented guys outside of the MOF stuff, I am hoping for a fuel for fire from M. and if the brakeman turns my way from Conor who else is going?
  11. I think that is often what forms our decisions. How has modern medicine affected our lives in the past. Personally, I would not be here today without hospitals, doctors, nurses, meds, etc. I plan on getting the shot eventually. (on a side note, I nearly chopped off my fingertip last night and the tylenol 3's are my saviour right about now...thanks modern medicine)
  12. well dang! congrats your new avatar suggests you are having a boy?

    hey skaters

except YATS (no more broken bones bro) As many of you know I am a welder with my own side business (bONES wELDING). I am getting into fabricating grind rails for skateboarders to practice their moves at home, etc. This should probably be in the WTB/WTS forum, but I never visit. Anyway, if anyone needs a custom built rail (or bike rack, gate, you name it) I'm your guy Here's an ad I posted on craigslist if you know someone who may be interested. Skateboard Grind Rails I will be working on an order this weekend and plan on taking pics throughout, so I can send pics later if required. Thanks for reading!

  20. Doctor, my eyes have seen the years And the slow parade of fears without crying Now I want to understand I have done all that I could To see the evil and the good without hiding You must help me if you can Doctor, my eyes Tell me what is wrong Was I unwise to leave them open for so long cause I have wandered through this world And as each moment has unfurled Ive been waiting to awaken from these dreams People go just where there will I never noticed them until I got this feeling That its later than it seems Doctor, my eyes Tell me what you see I hear their cries Just say if its too late for me Doctor, my eyes Cannot see the sky Is this the prize for having learned how not to cry
