  4. Scored front row, centre tix for the show in Las Vegas at The Pearl Theatre - Palms Casino Resort Should be great !
  5. Just bought tix to see Morrissey in both Melbourne & Adelaide, Australia in October Finally ! I saw The Smiths in 1985, and have never seen Moz on his own. Really looking forward to this one. Last night I went to see the Sweet & Tender Hooligans, in Long Beach, CA. There was an outdoor movie (The Outsiders) with the S&TH opening and playing for about 1.5 hours. The event took place at the Sunnyside Cemetery You could take whatever you wanted (food, beer, etc)...really cool set-up. The band were amazing and equally as good as The Smiths Indeed imo. Really fun night.

    Woods

Woods performance last night at the Echoplex in Los Angeles was even better than expected. The band hit the stage just after 11pm, and played one long set and a 3 song encore. I didn't get to hear Bend Beyond (one of my faves), but there were many great songs played throughout the show. With Light and With Love & Moving To The Left standing out in my mind. A nice surprise was the opener, Cian Nugent from Ireland. I had never heard of him before, but was quite impressed.

Thanks Blane. I can't stop listening to this band. Just bought four more of their albums, "At Echo Lake", "Sun and Shade", "Bend Beyond", and "With Light and With Love". Fantastic ! Looking forward to seeing them live.

    Woods

POG turned me on to Woods a few months ago, and I'm really digging the City Sun Eater In the River of Light album. Guess they've been around for a while, but they are new to me. Bought a ticket to see them in Los Angeles at the end of July. Anyone seen their live show before? Looking forward to seeing them. And it was a cheap ticket at $20

  10. I'm going to see Dylan in a couple of weeks at ArtPark in Lewiston. I'm curious to hear his new material off of "Fallen Angels" My tickets came with 2 redemption codes for free copies of the new album. The cd should have arrived by the time I get back from Abu Dhabi. I've streamed snippets, and it sounds quite good. Bob sounds clear and you can hear/understand the lyrics. Hoping the live show this time around proves the same.

  12. Saw these guys tonight in Manchester, UK. Been wanting to check them out for almost 10 years now, and finally got the opportunity while I'm over here for work. They were fantastic !! If you are a fan of The Smiths, these guys are spot on. They're the Dark Star Orchestra of The Smiths music. The room was packed, and everyone there seemed to know every word to every song. I saw The Smiths exactly 31 years ago at Kingswood Music Theatre at Canada's Wonderland (June 9, 1985), and The Smiths Indeed took me back to the 80's and my love of Morrissey, Johnny Marr and the boys. Hope they make it across the pond again someday soon and play Toronto. They don't play that often, but if you're a fan of the music. Check them out if you ever get the chance. http://www.thesmithsindeed.com/home

    Netflix Picks

Netflix is great if you travel. I'm often in countries where English tv is not an option (other than CNN or BBC) And every country I visit has a different Netflix selection. There are some great Netflix Originals programs now too. My latest addiction is Bloodline. Not sure if it's available in Canada or not, but I'm half way through season 2 and enjoying it a lot.
  14. In for the ArtPark - Lewiston, NY show. Just picked up 4 seated tickets in the pavilion. My 14 year old nephew Riley is a young hippie from Nelson, BC that loves Dylan. He's kickin' off his summer right with a visit to see his uncle in TO, and a few concerts while he's there
