I was pretty excited to be going to the Dave Rawlings Machine show in St. Kilda, Melbourne, Australia next Friday, February 19th. Gillian Welch and Willie Watson are in the band, and I love Nashville Obsolete. They've now added a special show on the 20th @ Festival Hall in West Melbourne to end the Australia tour, and now I get a weekend of awesome music Yeehaw !! With the incredible and continuing support that has been shown by music loving fans of Gillian Welch & Dave Rawlings, Love Police Touring are excited to announce a very special musical celebration called DREAM A HIGHWAY featuring Gillian Welch, Dave Rawlings Machine, Willie Watson and Haas Kowert Tice at Festival Hall in Melbourne on February 20. The show will deliver over 4 hours of music and ticket prices start as low as $47 plus booking fees to allow any and all interested parties to come and experience this magical event. This show comes at the end of a three week nationwide tour that has seen Gillian and Dave drive some 6937 kilometres of our highways to deliver revelatory shows night after night. Beginning in Perth as the duet Gillian Welch, and rolling all the way East to Melbourne, then North to Brisbane, Gillian and Dave are then joined by three musical amigos to transform into Dave Rawlings Machine for a run of shows all down the East Coast. Yelawolf - Love Story

Nice list edger ! I barely saw a fraction of the shows most of you did last year. My highlight was definitely scoring mail order tix for the 3 Fare Thee Well - Chicago shows. Dark Star Orchestra - Chicago (July 2) was one of the best shows I've seen the band play (a smokin' recreation from 1969) Jerry Joseph & Steve Kimock the same weekend was intimate and stellar. One of the best concerts for me last year was seeing Simone Felice in Kilkenny, Ireland play to about 30 people. He has quickly become my fave artist, and the one I am looking forward to seeing again the most. Alabama Shakes - Dublin, Ireland were a great surprise and lots of fun. Bela Fleck & Abigail Washburn were fantastic in Prague, Czech Republic I finally got out to a CAL (Classic Albums Live) show and enjoyed their recreation of The Beatles - Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band I am sure that I saw more, but can't remember off the top of my head. I don't keep track or save ticket stubs anymore. Travelling for my job means that I miss a lot of good bands that play in Toronto. However, I am trying to catch a show when I can in other parts of the world. I have found that seeing concerts outside of North America usually means a smaller venue, with less people and a cooler vibe. My next show is Dave Rawlings Machine in Melbourne Australia - February 19th. Should be a good one !

Has anyone ever seen this duo play live before? Alabama Shakes were here in Dublin, Ireland for 2 sold out shows (last night & tonight). I was given a couple of free tix, and I'm really glad that I went to tonights show. Great band ! That woman (Brittany Howard) can sing (and play the guitar), and the band was on fire. I won't be buying up all of their albums, but I'll go check them out again if the opportunity comes around. They played for almost 2 hours and ended with a 4 song encore that included "Sound & Color" & "Joe" But the highlight for me was "Don't Wanna Fight" good times...
