  4. Bingo! I hate this trade. Hate it. What the fuck are they going to do with Zibinejad and Regin now? Smith owns the 3rd line centre spot as I see it. I can't remember disliking a Sens trade so much.
  5. Runblad and a 2nd. F you Murray!

    TOOL dates

this sounds like a good war story. more please. Guy in a leather jacket didn't appreciate my exuberant moshing, grabbed me by the shoulder, spun me around and punched me in the eye. Scratched my cornea. Ouch.
  9. Thank you Brian Burke. Thank you.
  10. What?! Isn't this their 2nd flood this year? The owner died recently as well. Very sad.
  11. Come sit down beside me on the bandwagon Hal. I think your anger stems from the undeniable fact that you are falling in love with the Ottawa Sens! Don't you already cheer for two Canadian teams anyway?
  12. Hi dinghy! Hi FBN! The Sens are awesome once again!!

    BEER!!

That may be but it doesn't preclude the possibility that I just got a bad batch of beer. The carbonation on the Wildcard (with the delicious Galaxy hops) was fine. The Amber and Underdog were not drinkable. However, I just waited until now to open the 2nd growler of Underdog and it's a lot better. Just carbonated enough and the overly yeasty smell and taste isn't there (well, maybe a little). I wonder if letting it sit for 2 weeks helped any??
  14. P.S. Didn't see TMB on this tour and probably won't. I've seen them enough plus all the lineup changes are a turn-off. It's a bit of a well-oiled machine. Good for them of course but as a fan they aren't on my radar much. I did go see a great band from Italy recently called The Watch. They played most of Selling England By The Pound (skipped More Fool Me), The Musical Box, Watcher of the Skies, Supper's Ready and some other originals. Small club in Gatineau, QC. It was a great time. Here's some video I shot:
  15. Hal, have you ever been sober in Ottawa? It doesn't take an expert to see how our buildings pale in comparison to any major city Canadian city, let alone a capital city. I'm not being facetious in the least when I say that Mississauga has better architecture. We don't have any as cool as this, for example:

  17. Fucking Mississauga has better architecture in Ottawa. Our city needs condemning! I live in this guy's general neighbourhood and the damage infill is doing to the community is out of control. The house across the street from ours will be torn down soon. The one next to us will probably go in a year or two and ugly, utilitarian semi-detached monoliths will go up in place of cottage-style housing on double lots of tree'd land. I mean, it's the whole character of the neighbourhood that attracts people that the developers are killing in their greed to cash in. In terms of the letter writer's Wikipedia comment, that was just in the context of 3rd party opinion about Ottawa and hardly the crux of his argument. I agree that this letter will do nothing but it's nice to read something that articulates just how fucked up and obviously corrupt our city planning is.
