  1. I'm surprised it took 5 replies before someone "went there".
  2. Biggest control benefit with making your own: consistency.
  3. Wow, I didn't even notice. I've moved into 17th spot behind Guigsy and Davey Boy. Thanks dude.
  4. Safe travels! See you shortly!
  5. I'm quoting all you fackers for posterity. This might be the greatest day in Rich Stadium history.
  6. Who turned the world upside down?
  7. My take on it is that punk happened and slagging off the golden idols just made for great press.
  8. And as I sit here, scratching myself, I can't help but wonder what your point has to do with anything I said about The Last Waltz. Ha ha -- you're cranky. Ok, I'll answer that. I was referring to your assertion that The Last Waltz showed how necessary punk was. Did punk really change any of what was so bad about the events portrayed in the film?
  9. And as I sit here, scratching myself, I can't help but wonder what your point has to do with anything I said about The Last Waltz. Ha ha -- you're cranky.
  10. And the current music industry is different how?
  11. It wasn't nearly as well attended. I'll take a look through my ticket stubs for the exact date. The Salads opened the first Zaphods show, correct? That's awesome that you and GM were there -- I probably saw you too. I might have told you this already but before I met you officially through "the scene" you were always "that guy" I would see at every concert I attended.
  12. Was it at Barrymore's? I'll have to check my records' date=' but I have a vague memory of seeing Fishbone there. Edit to ask: I also remember a Fishbone show where Angelo Moore got really angry about a "no stage diving" sign that was up at the venue, but I can't remember whether that was the Zaphod show or the Barrymore's show (assuming the other show I remember was at Barrymore's). Does anybody else remember that? Aloha, Brad[/quote'] Brad, the "no stage diving" sign was at Barrymore's. That was the Chim Chim tour I believe. The show with Rocky George was definitely at Zaphods because I remember comparing the two Zaphods shows I'd seen and they were like night and day. The first time I saw them was at Porter Hall and Angelo climbed on the lattice work that hung from the ceiling. The other time I saw them was opening for Stone Temple Pilots and the Chili Peppers at the Bell Centre. Angelo spent part of the set on the floor, singing to the audience members that were slowly filing in.
  13. Pretty sure the last lineup I saw featured Rocky. It's a bit vague but I think it was a year or two after the Zaphods show that GM describes above. I was at that one too and it was awesome.
  14. What's Mats Sundin doing with a framed picture of Bobby Orr?
  15. It's a bittersweet policy indeed.
  16. I'm glad you're not in med school Jake!
  17. I'd likely go even if it wasn't their last show. I sure wish I'd seen the Grateful Dead now, even if I wasn't so into them when Jerry was alive. Ditto Phish.
  18. I've seen them a number of times, and fairly recently -- though maybe not in 3+ years. Before the last show I would have recommended them without hesitation but there had been so many lineup changes by that point that Angelo didn't appear to be feeling it anymore. Maybe it was just a bad night. I'd still go see them myself no question. When they are on it's incredible.
  19. It's Vinny Appice on drums actually. I was thinking Bill too. Incredible show tonight. So fucking heavy!! Every one of them at the top of his game. Did I mention how heavy they played? Megadeth were good but it's really Mustaine solo at this point. Down were not so good.
  20. Going to the Ottawa show in a few hours! It's gonna be a fierce night of metal in the capital!!
  21. England just went up 2-0 and looks like they'll squeeze by Andorra. It was a bloody draw at the half!
