  1. Hey Hux, if you're still having problems just give me the word and I'll e-mail all the Slip threads to you. You must be half livid over there!
  2. And I have to upgrade my cable package. But does this mean The Score will air more than the 3 match block that Sportsnet currently does? And if I'm not mistaken, the 2:30pm game on Saturday is usually a Fox Sports broadcast and already has the score tracker.
  3. Naw, it was a chick with Habs body paint on her boobies. It musta been hot-linked to death.
  4. I was at that one too... November '86. I lost it during Sledgehammer. I even found a bootleg recording a couple of years ago. If you're interested in a copy I can make one for you in time for the nero shows. (I think I read that you are coming up for those.)

    yayyyyyy God

Yeah, I'm with ya... was just having a Beavis and Butthead moment. What made me uncomfortable was hearing about the Columbine video game. I don't know why but I don't find Left Behind as odious in comparison. I imagine there are some pretty nasty anti-USA games being sold in parts of the middle east. Heck, parts of the world for that matter.
  6. Absolutely correct. Landsdowne Park, Ottawa, July '87.
  7. I touched Peter Gabriel's left calf once.

Can't help but think of one thing every time I see this topic title.
  9. Geez... when did the Team 1200 start reporting soccer scores? Guess I can skip the first half now.

I dunno, that game looks kinda cool. How is it any worse than what you can already do in Grand Theft Auto?
  11. Anyone else line up early only to realize you're the only ones there? Me and my friend stood in line at Ticketmaster for about an hour before the outlet opened (7am on a Saturday) for General Admission tickets to see David Bowie at the Civic Centre. I think there were like 5 of us in total and I felt pretty stupid for thinking GA would sell out in minutes.
  12. I thought Barca/Bremen was pretty good for a 2-0 match. Cheeky goal by Ronaldinho, as Davey Boy would say. I'm sorry you had to suffer that too.
  13. An unthinkable tragedy that we can never forget.

    Hey downloaders

I have Bell through a reseller. I get a certain amount of usenet bandwidth before I hit the limit (either 1 GB or 10 GB, can't remember). Never hit it yet but I'm not huge on the newsgroups either.
  15. Go back a few pages. This is what I said on May 17th: Brewing a possible goalie controversy based on the last 2 outings by the looks of things. You heard it here first. Gerber was good enough to win. Nothing more. He's still the backup.
  16. Never thought about it before but... definitely!

Shoulda asked him for a "How 'bout that Phil Lesh?" autograph!
  19. I never asked for him to be fired duing the bad spell, as if that would solve all the problems at the time. I still think the game has passed him by and I woulda preferred Murray as GM during the past off-season. How's that Muckler goalie signing turning out?
  20. Finally back in the playoff hunt! It was a trying month but I can breathe a little easier now.
  21. If I'm not mistaken, Simon Townshend is an accomplished musician in his own right, if not quite as famous as his brother.
  22. Hey Brad, I'd be interested in your take on the show. I took a look at the setlist and I think it's a carbon copy of the Ottawa show back in September. i.e. no Quadrophenia The Ottawa stop was probably the best show I saw all year so I'm surprised to see so many lukewarm reviews.
