  1. This is gonna be great!! A heady bump is in order...cheers to Keith and the crew for the long hours and hard work!! See you freaks there!!
  2. Try exercising like 3 hours before bed. Or just drink a bottle of wine while sitting in the hot tub....your call. And congrats and good luck with your special day!
  3. I just saw Plaskett and Elkas in Vancouver the other night....really good show!
  4. I'm excited about this one....Two From the Vault has been one of my favourites for a long time....got me hooked in a big way.
  5. If you're going to do some kayaking and have wheels, hit up the North Shore and go out to Deep Cove...plenty of places to kayak in van but the cove might be more peaceful for you. I can also recomend a few great places to eat on the north shore if you think you will be heading up this way.....and you should!! I also might have a lift ticket for Whistler kicking around if you're looknig to go up...I won't be able to make it up before June 3rd...the ticket would be free of course.
  6. Hmmm, never thought of that...I just assumed that if you were paying for it, the artists would be getting a slice too...something to keep in mind.
  7. Where the hell do people buy albums online for download?? Im not really interested in mp3s so iTunes is out.... I don't really have a need for the packaged product anymore and would like the nice sound that lossless audio brings.... Where can I rack up some credit card debt?? IM aware of pink piggy and all the rest of those types of sites but a little mooolah to some artists is what Im asking about....
  8. Just wanted to say that I think that's cool!! Your guitar looks great....
  9. For earbuds in your price range I hear these are pretty awesome: http://www.productwiki.com/shure-e3/ As for larger style, I have had Sennheiser Headphones for the last 15 years and they are pretty awesome....great bass response and the overall depth of sound is wonderful and clear. Even the entry level HD 490s (if they still make 'em) sound really nice. Not very portable though. Check out the Shure E3s above for wicked portable sound.
  10. Cool...will have to check this one out. However, in the interest of peaking out, my interest is piqued.
  11. mp3tag works for your ripped studio albums. For live shows that have a text file/info file to tell about the show, try searching for and setting up Flacify. It isn't exactly an average computer user setup as you need to install and do everything through command line Cygwin, but if you can figure it out it is pretty awesome and powerful. YOu can use mp3tag but it would be pretty tiresome.....
  12. Anyone know what to do?? Im looking to can some of my homemade salsa, soup, and various sauces to have on hand for quick meals during the week. I prefer not to freeze many of these items (soup is fine) and figure canning must be the way to go. Most of the sauces have tomatoes involved so I want to make sure I do it correct. However, do I have to add some sort of acid (lemon, vinegar)?? I don't really want to alter the flavour of my recipes. Cheers!
  13. No shit, one of those guys is enjoying it for sure!
  14. The Chameleon, Well, I have ALL of the players mentioned above... The Rio Karma - Not a bad device, I have had mine for over 2 years now and it hasn't had any issues (though the HDD is starting to get loud). You can't buy new ones any more though...only reburbs, and usually only through Ebay. 20 gigs is OK and the interface on the screen is easy to use. I don't like the software....The unit itself has some cool features though. First of all, the dock has an ethernet port so it will show up on your home network and you can access it from any computer in the house. This makes it easy to transfer files from the office to where your stereo is hooked up. For the car, you just need an aux line and a mini jack connector. IPOD - I have a 60 gig Video loaded with RockBox (http://www.rockbox.org/) and I love it!! The onscreen interface is not as friendly as Apples but the power of playing flac is worth it. I have a "skin" loaded on mine that looks just like the Apple operating system....It is a bit tricky to use with other add-on devices such as the dock/remote/etc but does have a few work arounds to make it useable. Video playback is not supported so they have developed it with dualboot capabilities allowing you to access the Apple software to watch videos. iRiver H120 - see notes for the Ipod. I don't use this for a player, just a nice portable recording device. I have a Church Audio Preamp, AT 853s and my H120 that all works really great for live recordings. This unit will also play flac once rockbox is loaded. In the end, the Ipod works great if you're willing to read and follow the directions on the rockbox site to get the OS loaded....It EASY and WORTH IT!! Cheers!!
  15. Thanks Guigsy...Ive emailed this guy so we'll see what turns up..

  17. Looking for a specific show.... I had it, then gave it away to a group of wild eyed Chathamites before I left town without making a copy for myself. Anyhow, I *THINK* it is this show below. Anyhow, the copy I had sounded AWESOME and the show was the best one I had heard (IMO). Anyhow, I listened to the shit out of this one and would love a copy again...Can anyone hook me up? 04/07/2005: Narrows Center for the Arts: Fall River, MA Set I: I Want to Get to Heaven, Everything Must Go, Tin Can Coffee Cup, Fat King of Gods, Hunny, Rubber Ball, Summer of My Fall, I Hate Love, "magic rope", Holly Would, By the Light, Last One Standing, You Don't Have to Say Your Sorry Till You Go Encore: Unprotected Sex Song*, Red Sky, Suffocation Keep, Rolling Home, I'm In No Hurry to Get to Heaven, Brotherhood^
