  5. Again. Because its so damn good. The intense cover of 'Psycho Killer' and sweet versions of 'Please Be With Me' , 'Dixie Chicken' made this worth the download time and bandwidth alone. Don't let the screenshots fool ya, its alot better quality then it first looks. Ridiculous close ups and the audio is A++. Smokin DVD! This looks awesome...just found it on the den and am all over it!

These are pretty tasty..like Mrs. Hux says, capn crunch texture with a savory flavour. I have had a whole bunch of different flavours, most of which I have no clue as what it's supposed to be! There is a "sarami" (salami) flavoured one for the meat eaters in the house.

  14. Parts car? Depending on the model it might be worth having an add or a post on a local message board the caters to fans of whatever vehicle it is.
  15. Yeah....so after reading up on the issue, it seems that you can buy Applecare anytime within the first year of owning it. Seems that all Macbooks come with 1yr support anyhow so it makes sense to hold off a while I believe. I was under the impression that you either got it at time or purchase or didn't, but this doesn't seem to be the case.
  16. Hey Folks, So my gf wants to get a Macbook and we were wondering if the optional protection plan is worth it? I never really buy these plans to begin with but my experience with Macs is zilch. Is there anything with these machines that is a little suspect and would warrant such a protection purchase?
  17. Go for sure...they're pretty awesome. PLENTY of energy.
  18. Hmmm, interesting bit about the Mexican made guitars by Martin. I haven't been able to find which models are made there and when production started but it seems like it is happening and is a newish thing. The one I have says "Made in the USA" though...I wonder if they are still giving them that label even if they are assembled in Mexico??? Any idea how to tell where a specific guitar was made based on the serial number? I know you can tell date but factory might be nice to know as I would prefer one from the home factory for sure.
  19. Well, I'm no expert but Ive been trying to find a decent guitar these days as well. I am certainly in the beginner range of playing but have been hacking away for long enough to warrant a little spoiling About a year ago, my gf bought a nice Martin D-15 that has really fit my own needs for playability and overall feel...it also sounds amazing and has a beautiful look. Compared to my old Yamaha (about 30 years old) that Ive had kicking around the sound difference is completely overwhelming. Comparing the feel of the neck, and sound, I just couldn't stand and have been playing hers daily. I even had the Yamaha set up properly, and the action lowered. It has sentimental value to me and will make a good travel guitar but I just don't enjoy playing and learning on it. Of course Im comparing apples to oranges but Im just saying that personal preference goes a long way, even as a beginner. Ive tried a number of different brands/models and find that a Martin feels best in my hands and has the sound I prefer. Something to consider is that you can offen rent a guitar at the bigger stores. I recently brought home a Martin DCXIRE (the cutaway, w/ electronics, version of the guitar Pablo mentioned) to try out and am loving it. Take your time picking one out. It's fun, you get to play a lot of different models, and really learn a thing or two in the process, which, as a beginner is what you're after anyhow.
  20. Engineers Without Borders would also be a great choice: www.ewb.ca
  21. Well, a friend of mine will be wrapping up a cross Canada roller blade journey to raise money for lung cancer. He has spent the last 4 months doing it and has raised like $40,000 through public donation only. Check out his site at www.seetheend.com Some amazing pictures, stories, stats and a TREMENDOUS effort by Rich!! Wraps up this Saturday in Vancouver for anyone in the area that might see this.
  22. I suppose I will be more curious to hear the next Jenny Lewis/Watson Twins showcase than this Rilo disc....Seeing as how this is more of a band/group effort rather than a Jenny Lewis effort. ahhh change, we just hate it
