bouche
Hey MarcO... What am I missing about "jammies"? Does it sound too much like Pajama jammies? Could call the awards...the "UNDEROOOS!" Hell, we could start our own right here.
Ms.Huxtable
You know Bouche that's not a bad idea. We could set up a rating/voting system and have the jambands.ca awards. Hopefully the content will be mostly canadian. The voting should of course be annonomous to be more fair. We could decide on a few catagories and then people would just nominate and vote on their choice for the winner. Who likes this idea?
bouche
I like it. I guess I'm gonna have to write something for that when I get a chance
dave-O
For the most part, I think that award shows are a farce. Don't forget... YOUR FAVOURITE BAND SUCKS!

Mr. Musicface
quote: YOUR FAVOURITE BAND SUCKS! Hah, I got told by most of the folks on my soccer team the other day that DMB and Big Sugar both suck! Then again, they'd just spent the last 1/2 hour talking about what a great band Cold Play was, so I couldn't take them that seriously. Peace, Mr. M. P.S. I think the .ca awards could be fun. NewRider
I think it's a little cheesy but most of these artists will probably never a Billboard or Grammy, AMA whatever. The whole turns out to be shit anyways when Trey runs off with all the awards. I thought his album was good, but Best Tour?!?! He plays a lot of the same songs everynight, few special guests, no opener ect. ect.
Ms.Huxtable
Good point New Rider. Plus it rained when I saw him. How's that the BEST???
bouche
Who should win next year's Lifetime achievement award? I'm going to nominate Tony D! He qualifies for his achievements at wearing that beret all the time.
bradm
Actually, we should petition the Jammys for a best international jammy category, the way the Oscars have a best international film award. Were any of the acts that won or were nominated from other than the U.S.A.? Aloha, Brad
MarcO
Does anybody else just involuntarily roll their eyes when they hear about things like the "Jammies"??? I know I do.
Northern Wish
Good point! I believe every one of the bands (though some may have internationally born players) were all from the continental US. Unless Ozomatli got a pity nomination. We should all email (politely!!) and ask them in include some kind of non US category. Do you think it would work? Sean
