dave-O Posted December 12, 2002 Report Posted December 12, 2002 Check out the new banner to your right... Jamband radio on Carleton's CKCU FM. Can anyone shed a little light on this??
Kurisuta Posted December 12, 2002 Report Posted December 12, 2002 it's about time, as radio SUCKS in this town! (IMHO)
Booche Posted December 12, 2002 Report Posted December 12, 2002 Monday December 16 8-10 pm One time only? I am about as lost as you Dave-O Good thing I have these panties on that are STRICTLY for comfort.
Ms.Huxtable Posted December 12, 2002 Report Posted December 12, 2002 It is my understanding that Dr. Huxtable (the man not the band) and Bouche will make an appearance on the radio show to introduce Canadian jambands to the CKCU audience. They will be bringing music samples and answering questions about the scene. There may be more to it than that, perhaps they can expand on my answer. Tune in everyone.
Blane Posted December 12, 2002 Report Posted December 12, 2002 I used to have a jamband radio show in Ottawa in '98-'99 on Ottawa U.'s station. We would record a show then bring it to the station the next week. We had a 2 hour slot but sadly it was at 2am. A few faithful tuned in (perhaps the Sloth recalls) nonetheless. I still remember "christening" my 4-4-98 Phish tapes there. It was good.
dave-O Posted December 12, 2002 Author Report Posted December 12, 2002 Well I have my Ferriswheeler bootlegs ready, where do I drop 'em off???
bouche Posted December 12, 2002 Report Posted December 12, 2002 I just shot you a mail Dave-O. If anyone has any HiQ recordings of GTB, Jimmy Swift, BNB, especially SPINCYCLE! shoot me and email and I'll send upload instructions. I think nero is covered quite well [email protected]" target="_blank Booche is putting some cool shit together as well. Should be very sweet. It'll be a great reason for Davey-boy to get drunk with him too!
