Buffy420
I didn't know this until today. He was released on Wednesday! Tommy had been serving a nine month sentence because Chong Glass shipped bongs to Pennsylvania via US Mail. Ironically, Tommy did not own, nor operate Chong Glass. The business merely used Chong's likeness.
paisley
ya thats awesome, I saw he was on Jay Leno the other day so figured he was a free man again glad to hear he's out, after a year it must be nice to stretch his legs again (imagine being Chong? he could walk into pretty much any bar in the western world and get looked after in style)
Jay Funk Dawg
Has Chong explained what happened to him? any statements?
zero
I didn't see the Leno appearance and don't know if he spoke to his predicament. I would think if the new Cheech and Chong is looking like it'll get greenlighted that this episode will be touched upon. Unfortunately I've heard that Rae Dawn Chong wrote the original screenplay. Super Freak
Chong claimed he had a blast in the can. He was busted by selling bongs to a head shop run by the DEA in pensilvania(I think). He did the time so his family wouldn't be charged...If I rememeber correctly I think his kids own the company...something like that anyway.
