bouche
I learned guitar from George...indirectly of course. I own a reissue of that very guitar, the Rickenbacker 360/12 string. I even was able to woo the girl of my dreams by playing one of his tunes on my acoustic, "Here comes the sun" Thanks for being on the planet in my lifetime Georgie! MarcO
Damn, I love George Harrison. A beautiful dude and a magnificient guitar player. I still can't believe the world only has two Beatles left in it. Rest In Peace, George. Thank you so much for the music and your spirit.
TheGoodRev
Allow me to also throw in my feelings of gratitude and love for George. There are so many examples of his guitar playing that speak to me, but since his passing, the one that most stands out is the opening licks from "Free As A Bird", the tune that John Lennon recorded in his apartment that was later finished by the rest of the Beatles for Anthology 1. Some people feel that John's tunes should never have been messed with, but I feel the Beatles truly did justice to that tune. The tone, the feel, the simplicity of that opening lick is so unmistakably George, it both saddens me and makes me happy to hear it. Sad because the man is gone and he will never give us such sweet licks again, but happy that he was hear to put a mark on my guitar playing, my musicianship, my life! RIP George. TimmyB
Nice picture Esau! Right now I'm watching the Concert for George where that picture came from. I tried to get tickets for this show which took place on the one year anniversary of Harrison's passing, but unfortunately I couldn't get tickets via the UK ticket agency. I keep getting tickets but each time my credit card information was being processed it took too long. Oh well at least I have the DVD to watch. Lazlo
George's ghost is contacting me again. He says Your all a bunch of wimpering homos and he's ashamed to have women like you mourning over him.
