zero
Just a correction that Chris and the Citizen's Band featuring Kate Fenner and Tony Scherr are playing in Guelph tomorrow night (2nd) and Toronto at the Drake on the 3rd. The dates Shain put up on Jambase were off. Tony is playing bass rather than lead guitar as he does with Bill Frisell, Nora Jones and Sex Mob. This line up is definitely worth checking out and their playing the Black Sheep and Wolfe Island for the more Ottawa inclined.AUGUST 2: GUELPH, ONTARIOThe Bookshelf E Bar41 Quebec Street, (519) 821 3311AUGUST 3: TORONTO, ONTARIOThe Drake Hotel1150 Queen Street West, (416) 531 5042AUGUST 4: WAKEFIELD, QUEBECThe Black Sheep Inn753 Riverside Drive, (819) 459 3228AUGUST 5 & 6: WOLFE ISLAND MUSIC FESTIVALWolfe Island, Ontario Edited August 3, 2005 by Guest

zero
I'll put up the setlists for the Tony Scherr Trio and the Citizen's Band with a write up tomorrow. Gotta get some sleep. I must say it was a really brilliant show though and the perfect way to see Chris and Kate.
zero
Seriously anybody remotely interested in Chris and Kate or Tony Scherr or just great music should head down to the Drake tonight (or the Black Sheep or Wolfe Island). The Tony Scherr trio was almost as good as the Citizen's Band, Tony played with his brother Peter and this incredible drummer (also in the Citizen's) Anton Fier who founded the Golden Palomino's, played with the Feelies and the likes of Herbie Hancock, Mick Jagger and Pere Ubu. The Citizen's basically play Chris and Kate material, Chris material and Kate material but heavily funked up and driven by Chris' clavinet, Tony's bass, Anton's drumming and guitarist Teddy Kunpel. Definitely the most satisfying experience I have had seeing them in a long while.
